I think he only has his projectile in Thunder God.

This makes me happy. I can't wait to see video footage of Raiden fighting, it sounds like it looked really cool. I don't understand people being all whiny just because it wasn't a "surprising" reveal.

Not feeling the outfit. Seems rinsed. Gameplay wise. Best I've ever seen him.

I've honestly been bored of Raiden for a very long time (still am) but his moves are looking sick. I like what I saw.

I understand that they needed to showcase Raiden, but... Why couldn't they let Kotal go on the offensive for a little bit more? I mean, we've BARELY seen any variety from him in the form of combos. It's always that same damn uppercut and throw.

For some reason I'm hoping he is revealed last. Maybe it's because I've seen you do nothing but bitch and complain.

I hope they will continue making such kind of trailers for all future character reveals, showcasing all three different gameplay variations, X-Ray and Fatalities. It's really good idea, that gives people good insight on how character plays.

I am not sure what video the complainers saw, but the video with Raiden I just viewed was just about everything I have every wanted from the Lord of Thunder! Storm Lord Raiden = orgasmic! It is nice to FINALLY see bolts of lightning instead of the damn balls/orbs/sparks that have plagued Raiden since MK4 and up. True, his costume is simple, perhaps even boring, but it was simple in the first games, too. So glad the mid-air torpedo is back! The electric mines/traps add a nice new depth of strategy. My hype meter was reserved during the first 6 characters revealed, but this reveal has me at 11 out of 10! Raiden will always be my main in MK1, but sadly he was never my main in any game thereafter. The odds sure are in his favor to be my top fighter, again, in MKX! Any fan of Big Trouble in Little China should be pleased with this incarnation of Raiden.

I'm rooting for Fujin to make it into the game, too. Especially seeing as Raiden and Kotal Kahn, two gods, are already in it.

They should have probably renamed it Mortal Kombat: Elder Gods Among Us then

You have me very excited to see the footage. I was hoping that this game's use of different fighting stances would mean that Raiden will really get to show off his lightning powers in a way we have yet to see.

Never been a fan if Raiden and this isnt changing it for me. Disappointing costume and xray. Some of the lightning effects look good tho.

I was more interested in Kotal Khan he looks awesome.

It shouldn't be surprising that he'd be revealed in this game. I was hoping to see a post-MK3 character or a new character altogether, but things like that will eventually come. I would really like to see Fujin in this game and to actually give him prominence In the story.

About Raiden himself, this has to be the game in which he redeems himself considering how badly he fucked up in the last one. The plot device of the amulet seems to be missing which makes that whole plot in MK 2011 more bullshit. His costume design itself is just ok. Honestly, I would have liked something bolder and more interesting.

HIs gameplay looks interesting, and I can see him being a high-tiered character. Storm Lord Raiden seems the most interesting to me with its lockdown style though it would be nice if he had special moves that involved thunder since he is Earthrealm's God of Thunder.

On a side note, I'm glad to hear some intro dialogue from Kotal Kahn. He just seems like what Kenshi was in MKDA in terms of appeal. I noticed in the trailer that his last name/title was spelled "Khan" which is a bit confusing. Honestly, I think that "Khan" should have been the spelling all along as a nod to Genghis Khan, but that's just going on a tangent.

So about Raiden, he better not be the God of Blunder anymore!!

I'm so glad the costumes in this game aren't oompletely ridiculous like MK9. People who are complaining about the costumes, wanting DA or MK9 type of shit really are what's been wrong with MK.

Somebody ask Boon on twitter if they've got anything planned for the Mk side tournament, stat!

Never been a fan of Raiden so I don't care much for this reveal. Glad we get to see some more gameplay though that's always great.

His displacer variation looks like alot of fun to play, but the Storm Lord variation is going to be downright nasty. Traps with a standard teleport = awesome mid combo trap possibilities.

Long as he's in.

I said "meh" about Raiden on the other thread. However on this one, I will say a few things.

He should of had his MK1 attire.
Variations are ok
X-ray is fine
Fatality- like how the eyes popped out. All in all, just another head decap

Only two things minor gripes with Raiden at the moment: I didn't like how his costume is pretty much his MK9 primary. I mean its not bad, but I hoped for something a bit more elaborated like his MKDA primary costume. On the other hand I've seen his trailer reveal in bad quality of the stream, so maybe I like it more, when I watch trailer in better quality.

And his X-Ray finisher was a bit luckluster, I hoped to see something more spectacular, like explosion or something.
His lightning effects make him look even more like "Three Thunders" from BTiLC. And that's awesome.
And I am really said, that there is so many whiners. It's not even funny anymore.

His gameplay seems beyond what I thought NRS was capable of. Simply outstanding, can't wait to play as him.

I'm not a big fan of his appearance and stance (too much like Kahn's stance in MK9), though. I hoped for something in the direcrion of his MKDA costume and stance..

He looks like Raiden... There's nothing new or special about this look, it's basically the same as all his other looks. A bit boring.

Gameplay looks nice. NRS are doing some cool things in this game. However, his Fatality looks boring. His X-ray was cooler than the Fatality, imo.

Overall, not bad, but not all too exciting either. I liked Kotal better in this trailer.
