There's not one thing disappointing about this reveal. Not one.

Rock on. They gave us a bunch of fresh faces at E3. Made perfect sense to reveal one of the series regulars. They tipped the hat to who it was gonna be. He's consistent, but looking slick and new. Doesn't need to be a surprise - it's about revealing the character, drawing interest and showing us what he does.

Mission accomplished.

Love the reveal, kind of anti climactic with raiden but I'd take any bit of information.

Moves look unbelievable. Love it.

Costume is exactly what everyone expected. Hoping for an alt.

Raiden will definetly have a new alt. Someone tweeted Boon and asked him if Raiden will attain his MKDA Alt and Boon said no. So I'm guessing Raiden will not have his dark version from MKD either. Bring on the new!

If you call that 'completely changed', I think there might be something wrong with your eyes. Completely changed is MK4 Quan Chi vs MKDA Quan Chi. Raiden's MKX outfit looks very alike his MK9 one. Sure, there's a few details changed, but it's still the same one.

Ed said in multiple E3 interviews that they thought "a lot of the MK9 costumes were over designed so they're dialing it back a bit for MKX." I like Raiden's design as it's heavily MK4 influenced (which might be some design insight towards the rest of the returning classic cast.)

I wonder if it is Shinnok in the next reveal next month. It will be a father and son battle.

Alright, so it's not "completely changed" but it's still different than his MK9. It's still the same style, but changed enough. And i'd say there more than "a few" detail changes from his MK9 outfit.

I believe WE SHOULD ALL BE HAPPY shoulder pads/armor piece are fading. U guys have been calling for this for like .. FOREVER!

I was hoping he was joking about that post since I despise what came from that movie. And I'm being extremely generous in calling it a movie.

I like to believe that movie never existed.

A few years ago I tried to watch it and enjoy it for what it was, a Z-movie. I couldn't. I routinely enjoy the Asylum movies but by god, Annihilation may be the worst movie ever made

I like pretty much everything, including the costume. It's a nice, classic, recognizable costume, neatly updated. I generally like this kind of look for Raiden, so any variations on it are welcomed as far as I'm concerned. If Ermac returns, I hope they base his looks on his MKD primary. Hell, I wouldn't mind a costume looking 100% the same, as that was an amazing costume.

As for the gameplay, looks fun, especially the Displacer Raiden. Loved all the teleport craziness. When I think back how the online community bitched about his his MK2011 teleport being OP (which eventually got nerfed), lol, I can't even imagine what the reaction is going to be this time around. I especially liked the delayed version of the teleport, that was sick.

Aaaaand, I must say, Kotal Kahn/Khan really looked cool in this video. I was kinda indifferent to all the new characters so far, but now I'm really diggin' Kotal. His x-ray was quite brutal too.


Looking forward to more gameplay videos and still dying to see Fujin return. Now that they revealed Raiden, I doubt we'll see Fujin next.

Thunder God Raiden has sparkly looking lightning around his hands while Displacer has more subtle stringy looking lightning around his body...

All characters have 3 visual variations. Scorpion has the burning hands, Swords and skull amulet thing around his waist. Cassie has shades, glowing green fists and the headpiece...ect.

But they all basically still have the same costume in all 3 variations...so are there going to be alts?

I don't see why not...Like Razor said, the cosmetic variations only add a little something to the character...they could easily do the same variations with the alternates.

Quick question Was I the only one to see him teleport when they were showcasing a variation that wasn't the displacement( teleporting one)?
Also love the new move set and fatality can't wait to see more footage. As for the costume it doesn't other me one bit. It's how they play in the end that counts. Edit: it's around 52 seconds end before the transition to displacer

I didn't notice any for Displacer but Thunder God has lighting hands.

People are talking about his variations though. Like he can superman at an angle now, that's not really pertinent.

Yes. The only other teleport I noticed was in his X-ray.
