If June 2nd is indeed a MK10 (MK2, MKX) trailer, then the true hype begins. Right now we're kind of in the prelims. All the real speculation and dreaming begins in 2 days. I don't know if I'm ready, either way, I'm excited.

All this June 2nd talk is bringing me back to when the last MK was announced on my birthday (June 10th).

Just finished watching the MK9 E3 trailer from 4 years back. I forgot how awesome and hype that trailer was back in the day.
Can't wait for Monday

It then came out 10 days before my birthday. I was so happy to get that Mileena skin. That day was dope as shit.

If we even get half of what was in the first reveal trailer for MK9 on Monday, then I'll be very, very satisfied.

I hope they don't promote MK10 with Wiz Khalifa's stupid music. COD Ghosts used Eminem to promote Ghosts. There's much better options than Wiz if this is the case.

Maybe they'll have Whiz promoting it simelar to Snoop Dog promoting Tekken Tag 2?

100% agree. I've actually thought this since the references to him in MK9's endings. I really do think he and Hotaru are Yin and Yang in a way. I would like to see them both but I am POSITIVE we will see Havik. If he doesn't make the roster, DLC is a lock.

I really do think that they will run into roster problems. People are going to have to start dying very quickly if we want to play as post-MK4 characters anytime soon.

I do love the whole hype process. This will now be my 7th time aboard the hype train. I love having to wake up and come on these boards every morning in hopes of any new info or screenshots or whatever.

I think that there is a pretty good chance that we will see Brutalities make a return for this game. When the sound clips for MK9 were leaked, a brutality sound clip was in there.

As far as returning characters, I do hope people like Havik and Hotaru get a second chance, but I hope that characters like Darrius and Kobra are never heard from again.

Or just follow the Tekken route and keep all previous characters while adding new ones.

Armageddon got it wrong because they suddenly put there 60 characters, most of them never in that iteration of combat system, which makes the team rush it and balance a mess.

But the Tekken system is right. You get your first base of characters (MK9), that you have polished and balanced. Then next game, you keep that roster, as it's resources and the team shouldn't throw them away, tweak them a bit, add or substract some moves here and there, and with that already stablished roster, you introduce some new characters, making the process much easier to balance as you're adding them over an already polished roster.

I can see ways to introduce every playable character from MK9 to the story of MKX. Even having both human Sub-Zero (Kuai Liang) and cybrog Sub-Zero (using the bones of Bi-Han as source material) so tournaments keep all playstyles from the previous game (which is very good to keep the game going on that stage instead of making half of the previous roster go away).

So in other words their would be a stage in MK10 with Wiz Khalifa's song playing in the background basically?

I swear if I hear this "Molly" song once more, playing as a background music for a MK10 stage, I'm gonna nuke Chicago.

Yep, that would be my number one priority.

I hate Mondays because work, but a new MK reveal would make it much more harder to concentrate. But as long they reveal it I'll be happy.

See, I'm happy that I have Monday off. The problem is that the anticipation of the announcement has made the last few days of work slow, and makes today slow as well. Tomorrow is a shorter day for me work wise, so hopefully that'll at least go by quickly.

Good thing Xbox 360 is giving away Dark Souls for free tomorrow so I can have something hold me over until June 2nd. That and WWE Payback.

A lack of concentration is exactly why I took off Monday haha.
