If so...

What if the Netherrealm Invasion was stopped after a Mortal Kombat tournament demanded by Raiden? If Earthrealm win, Netherrealm has to step back and Raiden gains some fallen allies back to life... as a result, Johnny wins the tournament and becomes Earthrealm's champion, Raiden's champion.

That would explain:
- Why Kotal calls him "Raiden's Champion".
- How Earthrealm defeated the Netherrealm Invasion with a few warriors (there's only Sonya and Johnny after MK9).
- How some dead characters are alive now.

What do you guys think? Bullshit? Makes sense? Let me know, please.
