Yeah, this is quite odd as well. I was honestly hoping for some sort of battle armor get-up for Cassie or something that really plays up the military aspect. Oh well.
I actually thought that yellow ninja was Tanya at first, lol. I was like, oh wow, she finally got an actual Ninja outfit but nope, it was for Jacqui. I expected them to at least get the revenant costumes from the comic or something
Now that i'm looking at it, i'm not really digging Erron's outfit all that much either. When I heard "Apocalypse" pack I expected a gas mask or one of his concept art outfits. Maybe it will look better when I see the full outfit, and hopefully the p2 color is black.

She Sektor, with Cyrax outfit...
Didn't expect Cassie to be a ninjer,
Everyone can stop with the too much SF stuff now. Apparently they was ninjers the whole time.
Can't wait to get a better look at everyone else's kostumes.
Fully clothed Erron should please some aswell.
His current alt is the same as Reptile's alt, Reptile's p2 color for it is even brown.
I'd laugh if the Pit Fatality was called a stage Brutality by the announcer.

Cassie and Jacqui had cool outfits in the comics.
Ermac needed a Deception costume as well Tanya and Shinnok needed a MK 4 attire.
Classic Tremor was a fashinating choice, but they had to give us cosplays.
Fucking cosplays.

Gotta admit - this got me ultra pumped to play the game again. It hink i'll be loading it up tonight after the kiddo goes to bed. I stopped watching when sub-zero went sky-high...I knew the Pit would INCLUDE the classic fatlaity...why the hell wouldn't it?
But yes, this looks great, and if MKXL is due out in March, then that must mean KP2 will be "complete" and all characters will release at once. My buddy wasn't kidding when he said they were ahead of schedule (and kept mum about "komplete").
As for those asking if this is it for DLC - not necessarily. They may have a "Farewell" pack or something along those lines...1, maybe 2 more characters and a few skins. I wouldn't be surprised if we at least got that. But if we don't, then this is a decent enough send off to MK. Extending its lifespan beyond the typical fighting game with vastly improved netcode and hype so people will continue playing it for the next few years until MKXI hits.
Color me hyped, I'm pretty excited (though I still hope I can get everything in that pack individually so I dont' have to get f'ing Leatherface).

And so the 4 year wait for the next game begins. I knew this would be it. I can hear the crickets chirping already.
Can't believe this fucking game will end with LEATHERFACE.
Someone get me Street Fighter V, FAST! I need to get my mind off of this.

And was NRS drunk when they come up with ninja Cassie/Jaqui? They should've gone back to bed.

That is so cool. By this time 2019 SFV will have one more character than MKX would and three months away from MK11, providing everything stays on schedule.

Still no alts for Tremor or Tanya?
The cosplay costumes suck to me. I hope both girls have real alts. Those are lazy.
Oh well, there goes hopes of Sindel and Rain. Fujin, hah, yea right. And I guess Alien is considered a female for those saying there is a lack of women, Too bad they did not take MKX further. They could have. Guess we'll see when the next game hits whos in it. Probably have to wait many years and the main roster will be the same bs Scorpion, Jax, Sonia, Cage and they'll toss in Rain & Fujin in to shut everyone up.
Hopefully I'm wrong though and the next game has a a bigger roster at launch, at least the size of MKX post launch with DLC, and less guest characters. Guest characters should be in addition to, not take spots away from real characters. MK11...or whatever it's called better really deliver. I had a lot of fun with MKX, I did enjoy it but it was short lived. MK9 was way more exciting for me.

Street Fighter did it? It wouldn't surprise me that MK would do it.
Why not call it Komplete edition again? Maybe because it's not Komplete yet?

Because Cassie and Jaquie are THE WORST new fighters as well as Kung Jin and Takeda and they just try to make them kooler in the eyes of the fans. Those characters are so uninspired and stupid and shitty. Now NRS konfirmed they think that way too.

It is not complete edition if two costumes are missing if you do not pre-order. Street Fighter is a franchise owned by Capcom. There is no instance that WB have done something like that.

I still think that Cassie and Jacky will get Apocalypse Skins. The Kosplay Skins are just a bonus
I just would like it if the Brazil pack was just a "pick your Country" customizable Jerzy for Johnny Cage.
There's a reason why it's the least purchased skin pack. Yes the game is popular in Brazil but it's still only a fraction of the MK fan base.

Eh, its closer to three years now. Buck up, champ!
Man. I have GOT to stop buying WB games at launch. Vanilla MKX will definitely be the last one.
That said I'm not here for any of this. We can't have the classic Pit II fatality. They still have to over spike everything and take off your head. Ugh. And those rando ninja costumes? Why?

I've never liked the MK9 Pit fatal and I don't like this one either. I just wish it was simple like MK1 or 2 without any of those fucking cinematic angles. It worked in MK2 because of the perspective of the fatality, but it just feels off to me here, especially with the shot of him falling. In MK1 when they fell, you saw the entire span of the drop in one perspective and it worked better imo.

How do you make the least picked character more popular? Make her look like Scorpion of course, duh!

The Cassie and jacqui ninja costumes are awful. Why the fuck would they not give 'ninja cosplay' costumes to Kitana, Mileena, and Tanya if to any at all?
I can't believe I had such hype for this game at one point, but with the way they are choosing to end things, I have never been so uninterested in what comes next. This game just proved that 90% of what they'll do is basic generic characters and WB marketing ploys.

Okay, so I keep seeing the theory that the next MK game is coming in 2019.
Why?
Did I miss something? Did NRS say "There will definitely, absolutely be no less 4 years between MK games"? Just because there was 4 years between MK9 to MKX doesn't mean that MK games will only release every four years. It's obvious their next project is Injustice 2, which one could logically assume has been in development since the end of 2014 (they have different teams in charge of MKX and Injustice). But in relation to MK, MK9 came out at the END of the previous gen's lifecycle.
In 2 years, that generation was obsolete. They did their last game of the previous generation with Injustice, with a slightly updated version for PS4/XB1 since both consoles released that same year. PS4/Bone aren't going anywhere anytime soon. PS3/360 was one of the longest generations of gaming since the 16-bit era...almost a full decade. PS4/Bone are still babies, and NRS already has a solid foundation on which to build the next game. It won't be as difficult to utilize that framework to finally upgrade to Unreal Engine 4. It's not going to take that long to develop the next MK game.
I anticipate we'll get an Injustice 2 reveal/announcement within the next 60 days with an April 2017 release date, OR late 2016. They aren't going to send off MKX without an acknowledgement of their next project. Expect an announcement around the time of MKXL's release ;)
I would think that, in relation to Injustice likely being released late this year or early next year, the earliest we would get an MKXI announcement would be early-to-mid 2017, with an April 2018 release date. OR, hell...they could be developing MKXI right now, who knows? I don't expect a long time between games, not anymore. They've proven their chops on current gen, so we'll be seeing the next MK before 4 years. It's way too popular to just let it fester. MK9/MKX, for all that you bitch about it, has brought this series out of the depths frickin' cesspool only to find it in shining gold. It's finally hit the popularity and respect it deserves, rather than be a laughing stock among fighter audiences like it's been since 1998. With the series on such a high, they will not be sitting on their hands.

I hope you're right I would like to see MK one year, injustice the next then repeat so we are getting a new MK every two years but I think that might be a bit ambitious I just wish they would let the fans know more instead of keeping everything so close to their chest all the time.
Oh and also as a massive human smoke fan I just want to say seeing jacqui in a smoke outfit is offensive and slap in the face to me. A great hugely popular charcater who should've been in the game but wasn't for whatever reason I will never understand reduced to a faction kill, kombat modifier and now a cosplay skin for a useless token black female charcater that nobody likes and is only in the game to fill statistics and quotas! Geez smoke he better get some love in the next MK game!

Ed Boon stated in the past that the minimum time to develop a decent game without recycled stuff was 2 full years, 2 years and half.
The point why people assume MK 11 will be released in 2019 it's not the timespan between MK 9 and MK X, but the span between MK 9 and Injustice, which is 2 full years.
So, even if they began working on Injustice 2 during the final cycle of developement of MK X, they still need a year and a half to complete Injustice, this not counting DLCs and , possibly, a new mobile app.
One could reply that Ed Boon's team doesn't work simultanously to all projects, especially ports and mobile versions, but still he needs to coordinate the teams and make sure the cross platform functionality works. You know, wkin unlock from the mobile, faction wars which will have an equivalent in Injustice 2, etc.
If we are lucky enough, we're going to have MK 11 in fall 2018. Hoping for more offline content and less guest characters.
