One thing I have to mention... The fatality from Leatherface seems to be one of the brutals in MKX... Even if he just cuts the popponent in two pieces. But it looks so god damn brutal!

I love they gave Leatherface his dinner make up mask.
By the way, how lazy is it not to give Tremor his ninja costume and do have 4 for players who aren't? So many weird decisions with these skins / costumes, it's not even funny.
The cover could actually fit all DLC and have Goro in the middle, so 4 guests and 4 MK with Goro as the pre-order and biggest. That would've saved this at least a bit. To have Jason & Leatherface stand out is just downright embarrassing. 75% of the cover is non-MK related!!!
They couldn't have come up with a better pose for Sub-Zero than just his face. Seriously, it's like they figured KP2 is done, so let's rush a complete edition together and go to the next project. I'm not sure anyone at NRS is still totally in love with what made MK, Mortal Kombat.

And SFV won't have to resort to having half of their DLC fighters be guests. They could actually, you know, have SF characters actually selling a SF game.

I really don't get the love for SF5.
It looks mediocre at best, with a ridiculious story mode and lavish DLC policy, which is the only good thing about the game.
Graphics is SF4 with eye liner and mascara.
The new costumes are bad taste parodies of old ones.
The new characters, except for Maybe Necalli, are plain shit. Gameplay is always the same, love or hate it.
I really loved SF 2 and 3, but the series went down hill since then.

Ppl prefer mk over injustice. To put new netcode in n then scrap mkx is stupid. If the netcode turns out to be good, then it'll bring alot of ppl back. Then if they released a MK kharacters only pack n have fujin in it,that would sell extremely well

You do not know that for sure and secondly I really doubt Capcom can afford the licensing fees to put guest characters in and make it profitable. Just because you do not like guests does not mean the majority do not as well considering they sell the most. Someone's got to buying them!
We will see how much Street Fighter characters sell the game in three years time. If SFV sell half as much as MKX, that would be success for them.

It has a lot of hardcore fans that would buy the same game over and over again so that should give you insight into the mindset of the people who like SFV. Most gamers actually do not care about it.

I share a similar opinion when it comes to SF. I don't hate it, but I have just never been able to get into it. 97% of the characters are uninteresting in terms of story/motivations, and just as many look ridiculous as well, so that right there makes it hard for me to pick a main and have the motivation to learn them and the game. Then there is the weird gameplay. I know some people love it and it's stayed the way it is because of that, but I just can't get into it lol It's why I like KI so much more. It has a fun story, awesome and interesting characters, and while it sort of has that similar gameplay in terms of normals, it feels like an evolved modern version that isn't boring and actually fun to play and learn lol

I do not know but I am going to with using SFV as a way to talk negatively about MKX and it is always the same posters as well. Fancy that.

i don't blame you the new sf games where the buttons are not simple anymore is quite confusing. even the super meter is frustrating i don't get why i have to button smash my controller to make it work what happened to the hold down for a few secs then hit up and kick button to do Chun Li's spinning kick instead you have to use the left trigger and spin it till it snaps off then hit the (depending on what console you have) hit triangle or B so gentle to do Ryu's fireball
but everyone compares and complains, MKX hasnt even hit the 1 yr the game as been out yet and yet people are still mad
i get the whole people are pissed cause your fav isnt there and you think the roster is boring (i mean you in general) but you knew the roster before getting the game you know how NRS is so why is it a sudden shock to everyone i would've liked fujin and rain to be in the game but they were minor people and nrs choose not too, but you had the rights to buy the game or not
and yeah sf5 isnt even out yet and its being compared to mk already when its not mk has fatalties and easy back, forward moves while sf has no fatalities and their moves leaves your controller all weird and loose. sf isnt everyone's cup of tea cause they don't have a storymode they havent really changed their costumes since the first sf1/2 so we only know what kind of going on by their endings and little quotes they say after you beat people, but is chun li still after m.bison for killing her father? i have no idea
atleast mk they go to different ideas and try to give their characters some life. where the characters can die 100000 times and yet come back, but thats how mk always was it was about a tournament now they moved on to different ideas not what everyone likes
and no im not a MK lover 'they are awesome' person i was the one who loved to play mk, sf and ki cause they were all kind of different, but didn't KI have some kind of fatalities?

Holy shit, it's the full $60? Wow. I don't know if it's guess work but Polygon is reporting KP2 is $30. LOL $30 when a lot of that content is NOT in fact new. Man, WB has a giant set of fucking balls on them.

It's not like Capcom and Double Helix are against guests either.
SF Vs Tekken included 5 guests. Of course, Megaman and Pac-Man were Capcom and Namco characters respectively but Cole McGrath, Kuro and Toro were playstation characters.
A freaking Battletoad made the Killer Instinct roster, and his bio states he's "the first guest" implying more could be coming.
Guests are part of the fighting game landscape now and NRS belongs to a big time company that will definitely put profit before anything else. The best selling DLC of MK9 and MKX are the guests and they will sell more copies to people unaware of the MKX DLC if they see Goro and the guests on the cover rather than Tanya, Tremor and Bo' Rai Cho.
It's business. The kind of business we're not used to from NRS but business nonetheless.

The KP2 is $20. Polygon is wrong and is a shitty web-site anyway so no surprises there then.

So everything will indeed be released on March 1st.
Hopefully we can also pre-order the KP2 to get the Cosplay pack.
So I guess Kung Jin, Kotal and FerraTorr's costumes are also part of the Apocalypse pack?
25$ for both Kombat Packs is an insane price for people who didn't buy any DLC.

Here is a detailed image of how to get the KP2 content and the XL update.
Also there is a description of "Legacy" pack which was not shown in the trailer.
Note: It does not say that any version of the game includes Gold Scorpion, in case anyone was wondering.

Legacy Costumes is just how they call every costume that came out of before the KP2 announcement. Notice it's not a pack, but a title for the following list of costumes. The Apocalypse Pack is alone by itself.
