Weird that they demonstrated Kung Lao. Not Kitana. Skipped Reptile, and went ahead with the newest character revealed.

I don't know. I don't like Ermacs look. His "second" fatality from the first Trailer was interesting. But the fully shown fatality was one of the badest I've ever seen. Reminds me too much of Kanos fatality in MK9 which also was boring. And i don't like Ermacs soundeffects in the Combos. The fast punches sounds like a blaster from star wars.. pew pew.. The variations are fine, his x-ray is nothing Special but ok. Overall a big let down for me.

But on the other side there was Kung Lao. I really love his x-ray. THIS is my favorite from all i have seen so far. AWESOME. Damn this guy is fast, has really cool variations and moves. So much Combo potential. His fatality is alright (I missed a screaming Opponent) and fits him.

I found this so strange, are they just improvising. Kitana and Reptile, the latter just announced, are the ones were are expecting to learn more about.

Awesome seeing Ermac although that select screen is looking limited now :( I'm guessing the square on the far right was for Goro.

To summarize the things: Ermac possesses most probably some part or imprint of Kahn, and/or senses him. It may be that Ermac, while an ally to Kotal sets out to collect what is left of Shao Kahn and uses it to enpower himself / Kahn's wills it so.

Sub-Zero seems to be apparently free of some kind of bondage, what he perceives as being free. This might be the original Bi Han free from Quan Chi's thrall (soemthing he lost promtly in the original timeline after a while) or some other shenanigans.

I had to cut out towards the end of the stream to do something work related. Did they mention or hint what the 25'th slot on the select screen was or was it just there with no explanation?

That Kung Lao x-ray... the slam part was..... Purely awesome.

Ermac looks badass. I loved thr, hooded look in 9, so I love thr, one shown. Ermac retaining Shao Khans soul is, great. Subzero being freed from corruption nice, that can go either way for the brothers. One freed from being a wraith (I hope not, I like Noob) one being freed from being Cyborg or undead revenant of Quan Chi. Loved the x-ray and fatailty.

KUNG LAO is awesome too. Loved the full fatality and xray. Nice variations.

Openings were great

Really impressed with everything I saw. I love how they walk away from each other on the character select screen.
The uniqueness of every character is very apparent as time goes on.
I'm ready for some none MK9 characters to be revealed now though to stir it up a bit.

No explanation. Leading theory right now is that it might be the DLC slot.

They didn't elaborate, but I'm guessing it's a going to be for the DLC characters.
Is it just me, but with only 3 months to go and that slot added, doesn't it seem like 24 may indeed be the final retail roster size?
