Favourite character elements

What is everyones favourite element/elements that has/have been used and/or manipulated by Mortal Kombat characters?
Eg. fire (Blaze), lightning (Raiden), ice (Sub-Zero), water (Rain), etc.
I had this same conversation with my brother (who is also a Mortal Kombat fan) and his answer surprised me. So I wanted to see what others thought.
BTW, mine is lightning. I just think it is really cool for some reason.
P.S. Magic is also an acceptable answer, as there are so many sorcerers in MK. (I am fully aware this is not an element).

Well essentially, I like them all very much. BUT the couple that stick out in order are as follows:
1. Lightning <<< Fire
2. Earth
3. Water
4. Wind
5. Necromancy <<< Sorcery//Magic
6. Spiritual
7. Cosmic
There are subsidiaries of course, but those are my forerunners. Weell maybe that's not in order..aheh, but those stick out the most.

As you can probably tell from my name, LIGHTNING is the coolest element ever. End of story.
However, magic and ice are not far behind

Lightning is not an element.

lol Dude, I don't know why you do that other than to throw a wrench in peoples understanding of a thing. Especially when the translation essentially runs back into the root four most commonly understood elements.
To say quintessence, is basically to say that things like Light, Speed, Lightning, Time, and if you combine those, "Light Speed" are elements all by themselves. Because you're basically bringing focus to a belief in "the pure essence", or in scientific interpretations, "Atoms" of a thing.
Doesn't proof anything different, and I think, unnecessarily complicates the most commonly mentioned 4.
All the rest are subsidiaries.
It's like saying Mud or Clay are their own element, when the composition of them are two of the bigger elemental umbrellas(aside from various insignificants within the "type of mud" in question).
The primary being Earth or Dirt, so just simplify it, and (lol) column it under the Earth family tree. There's nothing "wrong" with doing that.
Aether = Air//Wind....essentially. Wind//Breathe of the Gods or whatever. There's a religious quality there too, but who goes there but you?
Lightning = Super Heat, and is a consequence of what happens to it's environments atomic values...which can easily translate to Water + Time//Speed = Fire. Therefor, Lightning is a different form of fire.
"Normal" fire, is basically Air + Speed.
*Atomic jargen here*
You're a trip sometimes man...

In latin: Quinta - five, fifth. Essentia - element, essence. Not pure essentials as you have it in english connotation. Atomism was invented by archaic greek philosophists. Theory of atomical structures is odler than medieval alchemy thanks to Aristotle, Platon, Diogenes, Zenon and Socrates.
Also you argue aganist hermetical, shintoist, vedic, and a surmountable amount of philosophies what have more than decades of interpretational validity in their own rights. And you basically tell me that your figmented explanation should be more solidified than extensive doctrines?
Sorry for being educated in sophism I guess..

Hahahaha dudes they're just elements. Why are you having this huge debates about greek shit when its just an element.
Answering the thread topic question, I am torn between the element lightning and magic/sorcery.
I think they're both really cool and some really cool characters use them both so I can't decide.

Your perception of my direction is clouded again. I don't disagree with any of what you posted, nor the philosophers, nor their philosophies. I know those better than that anyway.
The only thing challenged here, is your relativity to the community you're speaking to. So...
Yes, my point is solidified more than the doctrines in here, right now. Because we are on a Western Created website... Created for a Western Fighting Game, in a thread motivated by Western interpretations of the elements. (you keep seeing "Lightning" brought up as an actual element)
I'm also saying that there is nothing "wrong" with that interpretation or standpoint. Even philosophically speaking because you'd here the reply:
"Well, that's mostly correct...essentially". More than you'd hear the reply: "Lightning is not an Element". The exception would be if we were on some literary, religious, and or historically motivated site. Not the case.
100% of the time you will encounter (un-studied) people who would only understand that there are 4 main element groups. The extra 10%-20% are people like me who know better to an extent, because I studied foreign history and mythology in High School(almost 10yrs ago). Or, those influenced more majorally by the rules and lessons....Or like you, who know better to an exact extent because of study by some means and you held on to the information. *claps and pom poms* (excuse me if I don't know that you are also influenced by the rule.....it's just not a relevant entity to bring to the table. and why should I care anyway, that's not what I'm here for.)
Anyway...
Most of all, and basically what I'm saying to you Chrome...is that it adds extra entertainment to this site for me to see you complicate a simple Q&A. With Chinese, Japanese, and Tibetan interpretations. Or Aristotle, Platon, and Socrates philosophies. And it's more than just an elaborate answer from you. You generally challenge the competence...on a gaming site. Wow.
You'd be more productive shoveling dung.
That-is-humorous, considering the demographic you're posting to on here is at best what? Jr High, early High School level? No matter the nationality?
(age 13-20?) Come on, that's funny! Haha, the large majority of this community are def-tone to that kind of message just yet.
And what if someone like me knows better than to just to except everything you post up as absolute? You basically taunt this sort of challenge every time.
And this...
....would hold more weight, if it were a response to "other" messages in this thread.
I just think your relentless condescension is the root of you comedic value. And there's nothing "wrong" with that interpretation either as I've learned.

Nah, I just like to fuck with peoples heads and beliefs. To be honest this was all a ruse to introduce the final element unintroduced in Mortal Kombat
..the element of SPOON!
