Raiden.he never dies(just like all other gods)he controls lightning,hes been in every MK game,he has a cool hat and hes AWSOME!

I like all 3 of the MK god characters. Raiden and Fujin have been firm favourites since they were introduced. It wasn't until Shinnok got his revamp in MKA that I started liking him.
Raiden wields electricity - my favourite element. He looks badass and he's got my personality as such. I've always been able to relate to him and for me he's always been interesting and fun. I love everything about his character. I just wish they'd gone a better direction with him after MKDA.
Fujin again looks great and I love wind and the powers that he has. He's fun to use, though a tad weak in MKA. It's a shame more hasn't been done with him story wise as he could have been greater than he is.
As for Shinnok, thankfully they redeemed him for his terrible performances in MK Mythologies and MK4 / Gold. His new look and specials made him great. He has a great backstory and history to work with and plenty going for him. It's a shame he wasn't used to his fullest potential.

He's actually been in all of the games as a playable character, except MK3 / UMK3 if I assume we're only talking about the main MK fighting games and no spin offs.

Obviously Raiden.

He has an AWESOME costume, IMO. (I'm a big fan of capes).

And all his powers are awesome! Who doesn't like lightning? And the fact that he's a god makes him all the cooler.

Raiden is by far the coolest god character.

He has an awesome costume, especially since his corruption. (The colours are way cooler since MK:D). And his cape is awesome.

And he has THE most awesome powers in the game! Who doesn't like lightning? It's the best element in the world. IMO.

Overall, Raiden is absolutely fucking awesome.

Coming in second would have to be Shinnok. He's cool because he manipulates everyone to get what he wants. Eg. Onaga, Raiden etc. And he can make giant hands come out of the ground, which is pretty cool. And he invaded the heavens and killed heaps of gods and several elder gods. What a champ!

But yeah, if Raiden and Shinnok had a battle, Raiden would flog.

Raiden! He is the original God of Mortal Kombat. In the earlier games he was one of my favorites to play with. He had great moves, fast combos, and who does not love his finishing pose in MK2!!

I don's like how evil raiden plays in the new games . . .but I think the story twist is nice. Make raiden a more 3D character (Litterateur terms).

Oh and he brought us Kid Thunder (who I wish was playable in MKA)

I despise the way they did Shinnok. He doesn't look bad, he just fails so much it's disgusting.

Raiden. He can defeat any Character in the MK saga. In the movies and Shows when he is in Outworld he loses his powers. But in the games when Earth was merging he choose to sacrifice his powers rather than lose them during the Invasion which surely would effect him if he hadn't.
