That was fun.
Had to watch it on my phone, for some reason it's better at showing streams than my computer

Coolio, given you a like.
Would love to join in and play with you guys.
Unfortunately, I have MK2011 on PS3 and PC, but not on 360. PS3 is region locked and I'm Europe so that one is no good. So, my only way of joining is through Steam. Is that an option for you guys?

Loved the 'performance art' tag on Facebook.
The MK9 Stream gives me hope that someday we could see a Mythologies or Special Forces play through....I'd love to here some commentary over those shitshows.
Incidentally something that occurred to me from the last podcast, where Darkhound was talking about maining D'Vorah and Shad was wondering how you decide to main a new character. I'm gonna be maining Kotal. I really wanted to since the trailer but it wasn't until I read a few notes on him on TYM that I realised he was a good fit for me, Sun God in particular: I was a Grundy player so I'm all about the chain grapples and the idea of a chain grapple that gets better the more you do it and that you can cash out for meter or health makes me salivate. Plus, I love his design so much: I don't think I've ever been so fond of a new character before I've even gotten my hands on him.
So yeah. A mix of design, interest and thinking his playstyle might suit me. If it doesn't, I'll try and find another grappler, be shocked if Goro has no grappler variation at all

Yeah, now that I know how to do the live streaming on youtube, doing things like that are definitely a possibility going forward.
@Temp/@Blackcyborg:
So I feel like even more of an ass now. Again I completely apologize for overreacting. I thought I saw a pattern where there wasn't one given the context of the show. Also claiming that others in the panel didn't know anything about fighting games was again the seeming drop of conversation when Temp brings up something technical. And you're right, Shadaloo is the most likely to engage in those situations. So my bad.
On following competitive games as a spectator:
Nuanced match-up knowledge over a games lifespan and the more in-depth technical stuff is certainly more involved but again, I wouldn't say it's absolutely critical to enjoy as a spectator. Again I think following a seasonal sport is a fair comparison as there's some people who are avid fans and follow week-by-week overall results, match-up specific knowledge, player specific details....all that stuff, just as there are people who only occasionally watch.
Typically the commentators (in both cases) will help provide missing context to the casual viewers. Same happens in fighting games streamed events (ideally anyway).
Regardless, the thrust of this post was to apologize again to Cyborg and the rest of the panel. Keep on rocking the show guys. I even heard Maximillian mention you guys on his stream the other night when someone in the chat asked if he had heard of the Netherkast and he was all like, "yeah I've heard of it but don't know much about it...I heard it was good though." It'd be hilarious if that was one of you.

It's all good dude. But knowing me I'll probably run with it as a joke that I don't like competitive play. hehe
That's cool. I don't know much about that guy, but I've heard the others mention his name. I'm guessing he does a lot of MK stuff as well?

Oh no I definitely deserve a blowup lol. I'm grown enough to take it though. Thanks for being chill about it.
Maximilian is a pretty popular YouTube/Twitch personality that covers a lot of fighting games and comes across as a pretty laid back guy. He wasn't too keen on MK9 though he's revisited it in anticipation for MKX (which he is definitely hyped for). He's mostly known for Capcom stuff and KI stuff.
Here's his YouTube channel.
And his Twitch channel. I think Razor already knows about him.

Damn, internet's been out. Wasn't able to watch, but i'll give it a watch here soon enough. I would also love to play on one of these if the option is available.
About Me
I will rock you.

Guys I watched about 14 minuted of the MK9 battles you guys had and my computer froze on me as well. I am going to try to watch all of it later on today if I have time.
If you guys have MK2011:KE for PC we could all join together and play KotH or some shit. I managed to play with acidslayer yesterday. The big thing here is: I'm from Europe and he's from US, and the connection was GOOD!!! HOLY SHIT!!! :O
I also played with another fellow MKO member yesterday, Keith, and although it took us a while to overcome connection bullshits, we actually ended up having a very satisfying connection in the private KotH. Funny thing is, he's from Europe like me, but I had a harder time connecting with him than with acidslayer who's from US.
Long story short, errybody get MK2011:KE for PC and let's all play together. I can't describe how satisfying and fun it is to play with someone you know from the boards you frequent and how awesome it is when you can enjoy with your friends and be rage-message free! lol
They should have released MK2011 much much sooner on PC! This is too good!
JOIN YOUR FELLOW MKO'ers ON STEAM! NAO!!!
Temp, whatcha waiting fo?!!!
HYPE!

I just changed my gamer tag to I am Arkham 3 months ago, and haven't played MK9 in over a year. So I doubt we played each other.
As for the cross-platform play from 360 to PC, I doubt it's available, but if you find out otherwise, I'd love to know.

Is the next episode gonna be live or is it gonna be a normal one?
if it's gonna be live, can we still submit questions on here in case we miss it?

For now, we're sticking to our normal format for our actual episodes. However, we plan to do live streams, for MK9 gameplay, or potential commentaries on things, somewhat often(at least a couple times a month) going forward. I believe we're trying to get one together for this Thursday night, actually. We'll officially announce it on this week's episode.
And of course you can still submit questions.
