if the retrospective is indeed Kitana, are you guys worried that her gameplay looks too similar to her MK9 gameplay?

i thought it was funny as shit when the millena player left temps match and shadaloo was like fucking spoilers.
also temp a combo i like to use with reptile is back back x,back back a, forward a, x+y its nice litlle combo that does about 20% damage or little more if you use enhanced invisble before you do the combo.
netherkast damn do i wish you guys had the steam/pc version id so play.
you guys said you only have the ps3/360 versions of the game. ever thought of getting the steam/pc version. the online has some issues but most of the time its pretty good.
im not impressed with the mkx kollectors edition eather and i main scorpion which says something.
blackcyborg i rooted for you. when you did the pit fatality on him it was priceless cause your like im not playing that game.
when you guys do another episode of mk2011 stream id like to see millena fatality where she throws sais rips head off done in the flesh pits arena with the costume 3. with the bandages. thats my request for next steam. also have the other player play as kitana primary. it's back, forward, back, forward y jumping distance.

That is an oddly specific request lol.
I don't really feel like getting it on steam, because we're so close to MKX. I plan on getting MKX for both PS4 and One, so id rather put my money towards that. But if you're getting MKX for either of those, we'll definitely be doing a lot of streaming of that as well.

A question for the podcast that I think is interesting. The Outworld Civil War is ongoing and is very engaging than all the other conflicts in the previous MK canon because not only are we seeing the kombatants being affected by it, but the CIVILIAN COSTS behind it including the refugees fleeing Outworld and whole civilized realms almost being trashed by the destruction from the Netherrealm War. Last time we saw a major non-combatant centered scene was the battle for Outworld between Bo' Rai Cho and Li Mei's forces led by imposter Mileena against Baraka's Tarkartan horde in Deception and it was only shown through pictures and text. Not a lot of spewed bodies and carnage that I expected. Outside of the MK canon presentation, I can imagine villages in Outworld that just happen to be in the path of the Tarkartan horde that get caught in the middle where the inhabitants are either slain, eaten, raped, and have their homes burnt to the ground. I think this context gives the right impression that just like kombat as dark and unpleasantly experienced by the naïve Johnny in the first Mortal Kombat game, war is not a great thing to be glorified in as Shao Kahn proudly immerses himself all the time. It hurts people and can shift points of the populace's allegiance to either side of the war.
I think it would be great to see entire armies between Kotal and Mileena slaughtering each other uncensored and other scenes where villagers and other neutral races caught up between the two factions get cut down indiscriminately to greatly emphasize the dire scenario of the Outworld Civil War. The game should not tell me what the war is like, SHOW ME the discrete details and present as dark and grisly as possible to stir the players' emotions. Maybe an ultimate siege attack on the capital city of Outwolrd by Mileena's forces while it's being defended by Kotal's forces can also be a great scene something out of a Lord of the Rings movie with the main kombatants actually participating in the battle. I think these war elements can bring better story telling in the MKX timeline.
I also want old kombatants to die for the final time (no more resurrection bullshit) in a dramatic and appropriate manner. Make me feel sad and sorry for them and give me the satisfaction of being on the ride for them on both old and new MK canon. Give me moments in the game where I feel angry and sad, but times when I feel happy and satisfied. Stir up the fans' emotions in a presentable and meaningful way unlike MK9. Being "just a fighting video game" should never be an excuse to need give not only a consistent story, but a memorable one where I can relate to the characters and have my emotions shaken by unexpected turns.
As my hope persists, Judge Doom puts this quote simply, "My God, it'll be beautiful."

Of course we're still doing weekly podcast episodes. :)
There was some miscommunication, and Shadaloo thought the podcast was goiń to be recorded on Thursday(today), instead of Tuesday. That's why we just flip fopped them, and did the stream then, and we'll be recording the podcast tonight.

Question for the NetherKast:
What approach would you prefer NRS to take when it comes designing DLC skins for characters? Should they stick with what's in canon(or skins that we've seen before), like a DLC skin for Sub-Zero that's the cryo armor, or Sonya's MK: Shaolin Monks look. Or should they go the route they are with Scorpion skins, giving him a Cold War look and the Golden Scorpion. Basically appearances that aren't canon, but would just make for a cool look, letting the guys at NRS have some fun with designs instead of sticking to what's established or what's come before?
For me, I lean towards the second option. If I'm going to pay money for DLC skins (assuming there are any) I'd rather pay for something fresh and new instead of a rehash or call back (as much as I'd enjoy seeing the cryo-armor again).

I know you guys are going to talk about the crappy Kollector's Edition soon. I am saving my money up to get the Komplete Edition that hopefully comes out next year. I am crossing my fingers. I like you guys. I hope you guys have fun on the podcast.

What would you guys rather see in the Kollector's edition?
I would go for both old and brand new. I would've loved to use Kenshi's MK:D design in MK9, but fuck that "theme" shit
Cold War Scorpion? I'm sorry, what?

I hope it's a blend. I'd rather see MK4-MKA style costumes as DLC than original ideas. Those IMO should be in the base game as 2nd or 3rd alternates. And I'm not a fan of silly ones, as I'd never use them and think they're a waste of developers time.

Yeah it's a Gamestop exclusive skin for Scorpion that's a version of him in the Cold War era which is being made by NRS in conjunction with one of the artists from MK Kollective.
