Ed Boon Plays Truth or Troll with Ten Mortal Kombat 1 Facts

Between the official announce trailer & gameplay trailers, we've already seen plenty of thought-provoking things, but there's still much to be learned in the months leading up to Mortal Kombat 1. While players await invitations to the MK1 Online Stress Test, NetherRealm Studios' Chief Creative Officer has used social media to tide fans over with ten tidbits in a game of Truth or Troll. Kingpin of Kombat Ed Boon has revealed one of the extra features coming to Mortal Kombat X via the next update patch! The news comes via Twitter, where the Creative Director also dropped some thoughts about what he'd like to see, and what we still might see:

GDC: Senior Producer Confirms Johnny Cage in MKX

Mortal Kombat X is at this year's Game Developers Conference, demonstrating the 2015 sequel and its revolutionary new Character Variation system, and recently previewed Story Mode.

In an interview with Game Crate, Senior Producer Adam Urbano dropped a massive spoiler, confirming the playable inclusion of hotly speculated Mortal Kombat (2011) return: Johnny Cage!

In the video -- since removed for unknown reasons -- Urbano describes Cage's brutality as one of his favourites.

The classic Mortal Kombat Trilogy era finisher was first teased in the Mortal Kombat X: Next trailer. NetherRealm Studios walked through the new kombo type during their Live Kombat Kast.

Returning fighter Kenshi was also confirmed for the console & PC versions, having already been revealed for MKX Mobile on the IGN App. IGN also picked up the Game Crate story.

Fan Notes from PlayStation Experience - MKX Arenas, Future Trailer

NetherRealm Studios veteran and former MKO correspondent Shaun Himmerick was in Las Vegas this past weekend for PlayStation Experience. The Sony event gave fans another chance to play 2015's Mortal Kombat X and ask their pre-release questions. MKOmmunity User BruskPoet reportedly took fan queries from the forums to Vegas, and has shared his knowledge with Mortal Kombat Online.
