Well, I used to use Li Mei but Scorpion has got to be one of the best to use against him. Using Scorpion's 2,2,4 string in Hapkido a couple of times. You can add an extra 4 on the end of that but somehow it seems that it gives you less of a chance to hit him with another string if you do. If he ever blocks it then sweep him (d+4) to push him away a little and maybe give you a chance to get away from him. Sometimes he'll do his throw on you but hopefully you'll get more off him than he does off you :).

I think the best way to beat him up is to take Mavado and go nuts with his weapon style. I block his punches and then use the "triangle, o, o, back+X" Combo. This does a great amount of damage to him.

The best way to beat moloch is to use Raiden and his staff, its so easy to beat him, keep pressing

My question is: Why do people have such a hard time defeating Moloch? He isn't difficult. Just get in there and beat the living fecal matter out of him. You can use regular combos for pretty much anyone, because they do good damage. If not, whip out the weapon. Scorpion/Kenshi's weapon is my favorite, as it just keeps nailing him. Kung Lao's broadsword is also good.

All you have to do is get in some combos and know how to sidestep. That's it. Moloch's a piece of proverbial cake.

I find that just side stepping alot and dishing out some hard hitting combos, he's easily defeatable with anybody!

I've always had a problem with Moloch, and find him really annoying. Basically what I do is grab Sonya, and whip out tons of combo's with her in her second stance ( Can't remember the name ) The key is to be fast and dodge his attacks.

I've never been able to beat him with slower fighters, I'm still learning the ropes on MK DA... So...

Anyway, thanks for Jonin for the tips, I'm gonna try some of those out.

It doesn't matter who you pick. The only important step to beat him is to get very close to him and kick him with high kicks or jumping kicks.I got Flawless Victory From Moloch just by doing this.He wasn't that hard.

NOTE:You also need to block almost all the time and when he stops attacking You start don't wait a second.

Well,this always works for me, but, pull out Shang Tsung, immediately go into Crane stance, and keep tapping button 4 fast. It should get you a flawless victory at one point.

That's how I beat Moloch. Actually he's not any harder on Max than he is on the default setting (medium).

There several Moloch Killers, you just need some timing, so you can know wen to block or wen keep striking, even if he blocks; but the easier ways are:
(PS2)
[]-sqaure
O-circle
Kung Lao, Broad sword, forward O, or O dow O;

Scorpion/Kenshi, Ninja sword/Katana, OO; O[][]X

Kano/Hsu Hao, wepon, Backward[]triangle

and of course the easiest:
Raiden, staff R1, or OO backward triangle

I can also beat him easily with Mokap and Blaze, but you probably don't have this chars yet or you would find moloch so hard and wen you get them you won't need tips for beating Moloch.

That's probably because everyone is so excited to share their technic feeling like they want to prove they can beat him easily that they don't let it go down, I just saw it yesterday since it was one of the first I answered.

I kill him easilly with Johnny Cage's Nunchakus.
I just press square (In PS2)all the time.

how are people still having difficulty? He's the easiest boss I've ever fought. All you have to do is side step all his attacks and crush him with strong combos. I rarely ever get hit.

no johnny cage and jax are your best bet for cage jus keep doin the four hit numcuck attack and wit jax jus use pistion punch

As this is an old thread, I have replied earlier, however, now there is a much better tactic. USE A REVERSAL!
You can reverse everthing Moloch does.

Cage's Nunchakus or a few good combos from Shang Tsung/Sub-Zero should work.

Moloch is easy on any difficulty. I can get flawless on max against him.

1) sidestep towards the screen.
2) Attack with a long combo. Some characters combos might not work on moloch. I know offhand that raidens sparky works. Every character should have one combo that does work. You just have to find it.
