Listen up,

being an big MK fan does not mean that i have to buy a console to play the game. Im just a great fan of the series, simply disappointed that I cant own one on my PC. PC games by far show more sharpness to their graphics. Watching PS2 games and PC games, comparing, you will notice that the PS2 has more grainy graphics.... therefore PC games shine in sharpness... the ability to tweak the games graphical settings, fixing any bugs with patches released on the net.... etc.

Not to mention that NO console around can match the outstanding atmosphere of multiplayer gaming on the internet. PC games involve extremely fun MP gaming, especially with FPS game like Soldier of Fortune 2, Medal of Honor, Counter Strike and more.

Not to mention another fact that consoles are crappy for Strategy games. You can say that its simply impossible to play Strategy games on consles. So much difficult to play that basically no strategy games have been released on consoles. Now compare that to the great fun of playing a game like C&C: Generals on the PC.... and competing against people all around the world. I mean its just my favourite type of gaming of constructing your own base and battling with a strategic mind!

And do consoles provide this kind of gaming ? NO! Consoles sometimes tend to release too much ARCADE games. The things you can do with a PC nowadays..... just beats the hell out of consoles. Consoles are made for nothing but games, and thats the main reason im a PC guy. But dont forget that I sed to own the SNES when I was younger and I didnt have a computer at home.

Now imagine if I buy a console right now just to play MKDA.... what the hell will I do except play MKDA on it ? So you see its not worth the bother. And just because I couldnt be bothered to buy a console, that doesnt make me less of an MK fan, so quit trying to place me into a category of fans in which im not! Im still an MK fan, so much so that I go to play it on my friends PS2 every day, do you beleive that ??

But its simply not worth buying a console at this stage, its just not a wise thing to do when I know that with my PC, I can still make MKDA work. ANd NoobSaibot, I dont care where the money of buying a console goes, all I care is about MIDWAY's product, and if you just keep picturing me as a PIRATE, go ahead. I dont care what you think. All I know is that im buying the original of MKDA, and thats no piracy. So think what you want.

And yes I have given up on the petition, so no need to tell me to quit my "silly petition" Noob! I realised that I can just cant make a difference, except being offended and judged about my character in here! So no use.

Just posting my comments here, NO PETITION ANYMORE! So quit telling me what to do.

Thanks anyway.
Duane Pace.

What a long text, too bad it's worth nothing.
If you have a problem with PlayStation 2's graphics, why not just by an Xbox? If you ask me, it beats PS2 hands down. As for the PC, you have to ugrade your graphic card every what? Two or three years? Just to play some game! Example: Doom III. I rather buy that game for my Xbox, instead of wasting $300+ for a graphic card so I can play a certain game?! Jesus, NO!!
And God damn it, PC isn't a great thing if you want multiplayer gaming, ESPECIALLY if you have a 56K MODEM. And I don't feel like paying $56-180 dollards per month, just so I can have high speed internet and play some cheap games online!
Oh, and don't worry. I already picture you as a pirate, since just buying the game and playing it on an EMULATOR is pirating. Which also means you didn't pay the full price.
Just a small note, people who don't like consoles & complain too much abut them, are normaly the ones who cannot afford to buy one wink.

Midway recently released SpyHunter for the PC and MAC. There is a high probablity that Midway might port MKDA to the PC/MAC! No doubt about it. But like SpyHunter we might have to wait 2 years. SpyHunter came to consoles in 2001 but the PC/MAC version came in 2003, so if I'm correct MKDA might be released next year.....it's just a matter of time.

Thanks for the wise post NoobSaibot. You really beat the hell out of me with your wise cracks dont you ?

And by the way, why not be a pirate when you know that your favourite game company (MIDWAY) decides to release a game for every gaming machine around, except for the one you have at home ?? I already said that im not going to buy a console.. THATS IT ! So what next ? If MIDWAY wont release MKDA on PC, then im going for piracy... why not ?? Im just extremely disappointed by this situation, and I can look to no other way other than EMULATING the game to my PC, FULLSTOP!

But Karthik@Kane did shine with his/her post (sorry dont know if its a male or female)... when he/she said that there is a probability that it would be released on PC. So what if its released in 2 years time ... I will wait for it. And for anyone who doubts me as being a true MK fan, I would like to announce that I will wait 2 long years just for the game to come out on PC and not even trying to emulate it for that matter (since emulating is considered as piracy for some people).

And that truly shows that I will to anything to maintain my collection of such a great fighting -game series!

Thanks again.

PS: Short post this time Noob.... go on, criticize this one too please! ;)

Thanks for clairing that up, since you shall use an emulator to play MKDA without buying an actual console...
YOU'RE A PIRATER.
Why do you even bother listening to Karthik@Kane? What the hell does he/she know? Midway said that it will NOT be released for the PC. That's it, that's all. End of story.

Noob, never say 'never'! And where was it said that Midway will not release a PC port. I remember Ed Boon said that in E3 but not in any official press or something!

I only have one question. What would be the use in wasting the time in making a PC version when the console versions made WAY more than enough money for them (more than I thought it would) just so a couple of people could buy it on PC? They could be using that valuable time in making the next MK even better.

Yeah, im glad I cleared that up for you Noob! Are you happy now ? Are you convinced that im a PIRATER ?? GOOD... Now shut the hell up! Frankly, I dont give a damn any more.

And UREIKO... you are right. Its the extreme minority that want the PC version to be released, and no doubt that they made loads of money from consoles themselves. I realised that its really a waste of time releasing a PC version just now. And I dont blame them due to the amount of Game Copying over P2P networks such as KaZaa and so on.

But I would be more than happy if they would release it later on. Maybe next year, just to make sure that they got loads of money out of console versions, and deciding to do us PC guys a good favour to have our own PC copy as well!

Thanks.

So, noob...

You made it clear that users of emulators are piraters (which is true with some cases and not with others)

What good did that do to the companies you are protecting and what bad did it do to the_terminator?

Nothing.

Find someone worthy of discussing instead. You'll find it's alot more better.

We were told by more than one Midway "bigwig" at E3 that there would not be a PC port. Tell you what, though... let me check with my Midway contacts and ask. The fact that Spy Hunter was released for PC and Mac (I actually thought it was Mac only) kind of makes me wonder. I'm still very skeptical that it'll happen, but it won't hurt to ask. smile

Hope this helps...

The only good it did, was bashing some sense into his head.

Oh thank you Noob for the sense that you bashed into my head. I really owe you one! By the way, how could someone bash sense into someones head, when he doesnt have any sense himself ? ;)

It seems you have attitude problems with a couple of folks around here, dont you Noob. I have and idea....... why dont YOU get lost ? It seems that you have been providing nothing but crap about me being a pirate! You didnt even have the decency of coming up with some truthful info or provide some valuable help to anyone here! You dont even care if it comes out on PC do you ? You are just so DAMN GLAD that you have your own at home. THe best thing to do with yourself is get the hell out of here... otherwise shut the hell up. Unless you want to post some decent comments, including some info about the latest gossip of the probability of MIDWAY releasing a PC version of MKDA with SpyHunter.

Excuse me, but I would just like to say that im neither British nor American. Im from the small island of Malta in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, EUROPE. So excuse my grammar sometimes. Just to clear that up.

Thanks!

I do have some sense, more than you. I rather not post up gossip about something that will never happen =/. In this case, MKDA for PC. And you're the one with attitude problems, obviously =/. Since you take everything so seriously, and you act as if it's so violating. Plus I did post valuable help for those you do not know, which is you =/. Heh...as for the decent part, your very wrong, non ami. You just can't take a good comeback, so everything I say, is offending to you.
By the way, you can thank yourself for messing up your own thread. Turning it into a flame...how great.

It's no use! SpyHunter was actually an XBOX port which was ported by a 3rd party team. The original team wasn't aware of a PC port.
Besides, SpyHunter was announced a few months before launch. I'm sure Midway will keep their lips sealed until their closer to the release date.

Actually, the people I'm asking aren't on the development team proper, and to be perfectly frank, they would be the most likely people to know. Have patience; as soon as I hear something either way, I'll let you all know.

Thank you DArqueBishop for your assistance and info. I appreciate it!

As for you NooB, still you havent given us any feedback whatsoever from your part. Thats sense for you!

And you can keep on barking at me, I wont quit my petition just yet. I dont give a bloody damn what you think I am, and frankly I just dont give a damn about you anymore. You made your point NooB.... im a pirate..... MKDA will "NEVER" be released on PC.... BLA BLA BLA! Now you can shut your trap.

FYI: I dont need to thank myself for messing up my own thread, coz I didnt. You are the only one in here who started a riot! Posting the same god damn thing about the game not shipping a PC port and accusing me of piracy. So thanks for nothing.

as much as i would love it, i know it probably wont happen. i, likke a few other people...) have a computer and not a newer gaming consol. so MK:DA or any other MK game on the PC would be idel for me. but alas...

as for things being on the x-box to prevent file swaping... please, that's just funny. i think hackers are just glorified programes.

I just curious. Is there any way to tell how many megs/gigs does the MKDA disc hold on each version? I've seen The Thing which was released for PS2 and Xbox and later PC only 300megs(well the PC version is 300megs)!
