This is really simple. Kahn disguised himself as Reiko to fight in the MK4 tournament. Then in MKDA it confirms that Kahn is still alive, even though he gets whacked in the intro. Since he was alive during MK4, him being Reiko in MK4 isn't a conflict.


Shouldn't the MKDA story mention this if it was true? That's kind of a big deal, don't you think? So did Reiko lose and Kahn is like "ooops. Oh well. I'll just go back to being Kahn and chill out on my throne" and that was the end of it?

Yeah, not mentioning it doesn't CONFLICT with it, but it does make it seem like the story went no where and has been totally dropped.

The ending was for us to believe that reiko and Kahn have a connection. Boon said that reiko is myseriously one of Kahn's minions!!!!! Rieko is NOT Kahn..............he never was. good thing eurocom didnt put their secret character Belok in the game then freaks like bendover would really be making dumb threads.

First of all, Reiko isn't and was never Shao Kahn. Second, MK4 was NEVER and is NOT a tournament but a war between the Earthrealm fighters and Shinnok's forces.

I hope we don't have to bring ]0MBAT into all of this mess but then again, he could clear all of this up.

while i think we're sure they're not the same, i think it is possible that quan chi and shang tsung might've killed reiko instead of kahn. i don't know, it all depends on how the team wants to continue the storyline, which is a complete mystery to me.

Yeah, I thought about that possiblity as well. You might be right. I think it sort of sucks that they are leaving Reiko out of MK because I think his connection to Shao Kahn can be good for the MK storyline in one way or another.

Kahn was only 9 feet tall because he was at the peak of his power in MK3.When he was defeated, he lost his power and wasn't as menacing.That's just something I realized while reading this.Plus, in the story of MK4 it says that Reiko is a general in Shinnoks army, if that means anything.

Maybe we didn't really see the last of Kahn maybe The Deadly Aliance Killed Reiko who was in the position of Kahn while he was somwhere else or Kahn new about tke Aliances plan and just told Reiko (who is someone else) to take his Position while he was doing somthing important that would explain the whole Reiko putting on Kahns helmet witch made Reiko The illusion of Kahn so Kitana or other enimies would no someone weaker is in his position.

This debate is really quite simple. I used to work on the Midway development team helping John Vogel. Lets just say he was scorpion and I was his spear. If you dont believe me that I worked on the team you can find me in MK Trilogy. When on the Dead Pool stage after you do the stage fatality and uppercut them into the pool, hold LP, HP, R1, L1, and down. Instead of the skull appearing on the skeleton my face will appear and wink. Screenshots of this soon to come. Anyways, John and I debated this concept for many hours. I offered some ideas, but John decided to make Shao Kahn and Reiko the same person. He denies this now, but if you notice the facial structure is the same. Plus, they kick in the same fashion. This is often overlooked by inexperienced MK players. Another error is that Shao Kahn is nine feet tall. This is simply a lie. After all the fighting he did in MK Trilogy, he lost some of his power. When Shang Tsung did his soul removal, Shao Kahn was about done. After he had lost so much power, he started to shrink. If you notice after 15 consecutive fights, he shrinks by about 3 cm. This is often missed because I suggested it during the first version of MK Trilogy. I think this information should clear everything up.
