I use the strategy of constantly using a cheap, easy 3-4 hit combo on him at all times. If I get sent across the room though, then I have to resort to using projectiles, taunts, and ground-shaking moves as I go closer to continue the cheap combos. I've done that trick with all characters, and it seems to work fine for all of them.

Yeah I guess Nitara does suck no matter wo plays her. I forgot I whoop his ass easy with Kenshi too, his Tai Chi and Katana are Moloch killers.

Scorpion... sweep, jump kick, jump kick, jump kick, jump kick, jump kick....

Wow so many different opinions, so what strategy do you guys use?

I beat him pretty easy with Kung Lao. I use his biggest combos over and over, and Throw the hat when I get knocked far away. I also side step a lot.

Kano....that slice combo is the shit....

Well, for Shang Tsung, I use the 3,3,3,1,1,1,CS combo in Crane style. It's pretty fast so you can do it several times in a row.

There is no one best character. It varies from person to person. For me it is weird because I suck with Kano but I can beat Moloch with ease using Kano. Also Sub Zero works well for me.

Anyhow, Scorpion, Kenshi, Kano, Hsu Hao and Shang all work fine for me.

I use against Moloch:

Scorpion/Kenshi- Ninja Sword/Katana
Sonya/Mokap- Tae Kwon Do

Same thing i do,but i also make sure the combo's have a fast recovery. I also make sure they are close range so Moloch is a sitting duck.


Anyway, mines are Mavado, Nitara,scorpion,hsu hao and jax. I probably can beat him with quan chi easy(mavado's wing chun style is similar to Quan chi's first style, hits the same way, performed the same, and has the same recovery time).

Nitara may suck, but not against Moloch.

Power Up and then beat him in 5 seconds with a flawless victory each round.

does it matter? you can easily beat moloch with anybody. He is the easiest sub boss of any MK imo. You pressure him with combos and merely sidestep any move he does. I can't remember the last time i didn't get a flawless victory. Even with drahmin I can get flawless but the problem with moloch is he is easily sidestepped.

but for the sake of the thread my answer is-
My best character against Moloch is everyone except drahmin.

Cage with his weapon combo (4 times square), and Sonya with Tae Kwon Do kicks and Kali sticks hits (back and circle, then change style to kali).

i use subzero against any char cuase he is my signature char and i know him the best... but you can beat moloch with any char using this tactic that i figured out... you cant run to him or he just hits you so let him walk to you.. when he gets close enough hit him with a combo... a long one if you know one or just punch the sh*t out of him. if you can do this twice in a row he gets pissed and hits a pole.. this opens him up for a large combo or a weapon attack.. if he walks up to you just out of range and stops, he is going to grab your head and take a vast amount of life away from you... if he stops moving... get away from him.. slide away of something.. just get away... then wait for him to walk again... if you use this you can beat him with any char... enjoy !!

For me, the best character for defeating Moloch is Raiden. Just continuously use his Staff special. R1, R1, R1, R1, R1, etc... Be sure to throw some blocks in there too if he manages to block your attack.

Either Subzero or scorpion but i mainly use scorpion cause his sword attacks are much more effective and hes a bit quicker.
