Khameleon: 3/10
I don't really see much appeal in Khameleon, she's more like someone Reptile can fall back on when his story begins to suck.

Taven: 6/10
Taven was a pretty good protagonist for MK:A. I'm sure if they fleshed him out a bit more and didn't allow him to weaken story-wise, he could continue to be a welcome addition.

Liu Kang: 1/10

Kung Lao: 2/10
Personally, I can't see much in Kung Lao that goes past the Liu Kang clone. I think if he's to stick around, they need to differentiate him a lot more from his partner-in-crime and give him an identity of his own so he'll be worthy of having a longer run.

Shang Tsung: 5/10
Cool character, but he was better in the past than he is now. I wouldn't be mad at him for returning, but in that case, he'd have to be made into a bigger villain, as I think his Deadly Alliance (and +) storylines kinda made him look a little weaker, and lose some of his "big bad villain" notoriety from past games.

Quan Chi: 6/10
He pretty much took over Tsung's place in MK, at least the "lead sorcerer" aspect of it. The way I see, either he or Shang Tsung could continue in MK and be a nice addition, but I really don't see a way they can both be in it and still maintain a nice story.

Shinnok: 4/10
They've tried to make Shinnok have a big come back in MK:A as some "all-powerful villain", but they didn't cut it IMO. Somehow, I still don't see him as too much of a threat, or least not someone worthy of being a MAIN threat.

Raiden: 7/10
Raiden's a very cool guy, but unless they do something VERY interesting with his Dark Raiden business, it's time to end that. I've personally had enough of the "Raiden Snapped!" shock value they've been pushing toward us since Deception. They need to either go a new, intriguing direction with his dark side, or think of a new purpose for the elemental, preferably something more along the lines of mentor (as he's always been).

Daegon: 6/10
He was a pretty nice villain in MK:A, but that was mainly because he was Taven's brother and was the big obstacle in the protagonist's path. I'm not sure he can survive as a worthy antagonist without his brother.




Femme Fatales

Sonya: 10/10
My bitch is always gonna get her 10, but it's not just because I'm biased. I still continue to see Sonya as the lead female in MK, which is how she's always been potrayed in the MKs (despite a few mis-steps in the MK Team's part during the last MKs). But the biggest reason why she deserves a 10 is because of her incredible amount of untapped potential that I'm always talking about. She has the means to be a huge character in the future.

Kitana: 4/10
I really liked Kitana much better in the earlier MKs. My interest in her has dwindled in the past games, and frankly the only thing that keeps me from not caring if she never comes back is her relationship with Khan, the big bad boss of MK. Kitana needs a new layer to her character besides the "good girl fighting evil", and honestly, if she already has one, it hasn't been perceptible enough for me.

Mileena: 10/10
One of my favorite villains in MK, period. Mileena's "psycho-bitch" persona makes her truly unique in my eyes in the MK universe (not to mention her physical characteristics, which make her THAT more unique). She has always been a great character, and just when she started to get boring with the whole "evil servant, Kitana-hater" thing, she had a big come back in Deception as the SELF-serving, EVERYONE-hater. I'm sure she can continue to be a wonderful character for the next MKs as long as she steps away from Kitana and doesn't let the princess drag her down, so 10 from me.

Jade: 6/10
Jade hasn't shown too much that is exceptional in the past, but from what she HAS shown, it's safe to say that she also has some untapped potential. Given a more unexpected storyline that she's had in the past, I think she chould thrive as one of the "good girls", probably even moreso than Kitana.

Ashrah: 2/10
I just can't bring myself to like her much. Maybe it's her bland look making me too judgemental. Her storyline isn't too bad, though, so I think she could work in the future more than she has in the past. It would take some decent amount of work, though, I tell ya.

Li Mei: 1/10
She just doesn't do it for me, whether she's good or evil (as was once inplied in Deception). For me, she's just.... there. They honestly need to drop her in favor of some much more talented females, as I think Li-Mei is not unique or interesting enough to have a solid position in the future.

Tanya: 8/10
I actually like Tanya, despite the fact that her villainous ways are not too diferent from what we've seen in the past. I guess I love how she's always willing to stab backs in order to succeed, and I think that trait, though simple, could be used very well in the future if proper thought is given.

Frost: 7/10
She's been an interesting character so far, and her hatred for Sub-Zero opens big doors for her simply because Sub-Zero is surrounded by allies, all of which could help Frost's character by being her "new" enemy. So if a direct rivalry with Sub-Zero won't work for her, she can turn to the likes of Sareena, Sonya, and Smoke (lots of S's). This makes Frost a likely candidate to continue her run as a villain, one that won't fall into oblivion too soon.

Sindel: 6/10
Sindel's another nice character with the possibility of a looming end. Though she's always been interesting enough for me, it's becoming harder and harder to think up new storylines for her that aren't gonna be stale if given.

Nitara: 6/10
Unique enough amid the cast, but with Nitara, it'll take a little bit of work to keep her around.

Kira: 6/10
Sonya/Kano similarities aside, Kira is a pretty decent new character. They'd need to think up some very intriguing and exciting involvement for her with Sonya or the like in order for Kira to work in the future. They'd need to make sure she doesn't turn into a female Kano, basically.

Sareena: 9/10
They need to keep Sareena as well. She had a pretty good storyline in MK:A, which is a great feat, and I see some great possibilities coming her way in the future.
