4 Player Kombat, Spectator Mode and Alternate Kostumes
4 Player Kombat:
I have an idea for four player simultaneous Kombat. Firts, it would be split screen, two players on one PS3 or one player each on 4 PS3's with no split screen (Online), in teams of two. One person fights another opponent while the other teammate is seen in the background of the arena fighting the opponent's teammate. This allows for 4 player kombat. When one person wins against a teammate, it would be difficult to have two on one, so the winner of one of the fights would disappear in a puff of smoke, allowing the other two battle to determine the winner. Last one standing gets the win point.
Spectator Mode:
In MK:A, I've seen people acuse one another, back and forth, of quitting, etc. To put an end to this, there should be an online option to allow peaple to watch fights in progress. Mics could be used too to allow spectators to taunt, compliment, or encourage, or attempt to distract a fighter. I'd like to see uploadable music play a part in this too.
Alternate Costumes:
Get rid of them, have one official design, and for a second or third costume option, have it customizeable, if you're making Scorpion's alt, for example, you could give him his human face, or the flaming skull, or one of his past ninja masks, or a combination of those, like a masked flaming skull. Or you could give him a chain spear instead of rope, have his ninja outfit be one of the designs of the past, many things could be done.
What do you all think?

4 player Kombat: I love that idea. That would be awesome to see put into the game. Great idea.
Spectator Mode: The only problem with this is, once in a while you'll get uhhh...well a-holes, who will curse and just take it too far. Other than that, great idea.
Alternate Kostumes: I think that there should be just one alternate Kostume. I don't know, just thought it would be fun.

Sounds good except for the spectator thing. That's just asking for it. aheh..but seriously, it's already a fighting game. Don't need some jergoff blabbing bullshit in my headset. haha..
We're gonna need some modes like the 4-way deal. That, and or maybe a MmO-type, team-based type konquest mode..Something that will involve players in multitude. "Kill the Tarkata" , Clan vs Clan(for REAL)..."take your character//clan on a mission through the desert or up the weather beaten island to get the object"...or what-the-hell-ever.
Hell, look at how good Call of Duty 4 is doing. You almost can't get some guys off that online experience.
Oh, and I like the costume idea...I just prefer KaKharacter 10:1
I don't care to edit the "official" characters....I wanna make myself in the game. dig?

That's becuase they feel like they're in the game and they somehow lost the ability to get their heads away from the screen.

I like the fact that you're interested in seeing a 4 player combat. I've always wanted longer fights, 1 minuet battles doesn't really entertain me a lot anymore.
I don't want other people watching me fight and trying to remember what kind of tactics I'm performing so they can later challenge me and know exactly what I'm doing.
I'm not lying, I had a KAK in Armageddon called Ice. She had the Ice Bolt, one of those specials that they gave us (The dark blue projectile) The Cold Shoulder Move and some teleport move. I faced another character with all my moves, (As well as teh ice blade Sub-Zero had and we both named it Ice Blade) we did all of the same moves at the same time. I fogot which one of us won, but the fact is I don't want to have some person know how I fight just by watching.
But getting back to the topic, I don't think customable costumes are neccessary. We're not playing dress-up here. One costume is fine enough, if they decide to go with two, don't make them unlockables, it's a waste just to get a second appearance of a character. Besides, these costumes don't need to be trashy.
CHEERS!
With the 4 player mode, it would only be split screen if it were two people on one console in your home, if it's four people on separate consoles, it would be full screen.
With the spectator mode, it would only make sense to include an option to disable mics, as well as mute anyone who's annoying you if mics are enabled, just like MKA's Motor Kombat. I should have mentioned that in the original concept though.
The alternate costume concept would have default presets, so you would have alternate costumes, but the idea allows for those alts to be customized, so, if you prefer, you could have standard alts, or your own custom design.

This. Honestly, I don't like these ideas. Spectator is cool, but no alt costumes? Why not keep them, and then have another custom made for you to customize?

Benefit, or disadvantage for Mortal Kombat creators?
You got real Vets playing CoD 4 for hours on end. Hell, alot of the time, I'm not even the one playing that game...it's my cousin, who is Ex Military. Just says it's a great game, that is extremely fun to continually play.

Everybody give it up for ThePredator151!
I really don't expect to see it in this game, or even as a sub-mode to a central title, but a Mortal Kombat MMO(RP)G is a brilliant concept. If anything, MK is so well suited to the format, it's almost got too much potential to be fully realised with current technology!
I mean, sure, you've got obvious things like the ability to roam around the countryside training in martial arts and potentially joining him with clans in the development of your character's style. Sure, there's the excitement of earning your way through the game to reach rare meetings with the classic icons of the MK universe. Sure, there's interdimensional struggles as you try to protect the realm from interlopers.
Those things are cool, but there's one factor inherent to MK that could potentially change the way we view games: death!
In your mission to eradicate a Tarkata squad in Earthrealm, you find yourself on the fatality end of a mutant blade. Game over? Actually, the game's just beginning as you find your corrupted visage thrust into the Netherrealm where new levels of gameplay are yet to be explored, and where you can, if you're good enough, access new powers, and work to amass power in Hell, or find a way back to life!
The only thing an MK MMO has to worry about is execution, financing, and, oh yeah. A playing audience big enough to sustain it... Brutality!

Some stuff sounds ok.
But I think on the alt costumes that you
should have an standard costume and alt, and then for a third
like you said yeah make it up, with the sorta things the charcters
would wear, but defiantely have 2 costumes 1 standard and one alt.

Cool. If you want to see more of my ideas on this, click here
On 4-Player combat: This will honestly be difficult to pull off... especially online. There are some serious balancing issues, and other than completely altering the formula to become that of Smash Bros, or to make it tag-team, I just can't see this working effectively from a gameplay perspective. That doesn't mean it can't happen, but there are some serious gameplay issues that would need to be addressed.
On Spectator Mode: I don't see too much of a problem with this. Dead or Alive does it, and it's a great way to kill time between the que line in a match. However, as someone mentioned, there has to be a way to prevent idiots from just harrassing you online. The ability to mute, like in Halo 3, would be necessary. I honestly don't see a problem with someone seeing how you fight. A good fighter knows how to adapt, but a "tier" system, that matches you up based on skill, would be benefitial to prevent exploiting noobs against vets.
On Alternate Kostumes: I'm all for it. Especially in online play, it's refreshing to see characters that don't look just like you, even if you're playing as the same character. While I think Dead or Alive's, what, 8 costumes per female are a bit excessive, having some way to vary what they look like, or even customize their appearance, goes a long way towards making the character your own, and making them unique. I'm all for the idea, especially since there are a lot of creative minds out there.
