in mka the air combat seemed sluggish and with mk8 id like the air combat to be fast but yet fluied. specials could be incorperated in the air combos to inflict new punishing ways. here are a few ideas- scorpion uppercuts the opponnet in the air then jumps in mid air to spear his oppnnet right back to him inorder to deliver a devestating round house kick.
sub zero uppercuts the opponnet in the air then leaps mid air to deliver a huge freeze blast similar to ryu's blast in the air of the street fighter games but the difference is that the opponnet lands on his back.
tell me what you think and about air combat improving in mk8.

If MK8 is to have air combat it need to first focus on impoving such things as jumping and make the combat slightly faster if they can do it then yes

if MK VIII has air-combat, ill just let it in the celophane wrapping and look at boxart. air-combat is the worst thing to happen to the main MK games since..... ditching the character specific fatalities. air-combat was ONLY good in MKSM.

If it flows well and doesn't deter the game in any way, then I'm for it. The amount of time spent in the air should be very limited.

they need to first get their stuff together on the ground first then try to add things like air-combat, because if you dont have a solid foundation everything else will crumble.
If they going to have Air Kombat at all. They need to seriously edit the Fact That those fucking Experts can keep you in the AIr the Whole goddang time.
And they need to fix the speed. And fix how many moves are used in the Air.
Because it is annoying...ANd they need to fix the Jumping a bit.

I liked air combat in MKA despite it feeling sloppy. I think it gives the gameplay a fun twist.
I'm quite sure it won't return for MK8, but if it does, I just hope it turns out a lot more fluid and realisitc.

1. Offensive - Offense = "I can do __ logically, because I am in the air above you."
2. Offensive -Defense = "Get out of the air."
If it returns, it should be practical. No more bouncing or floating about in the air...it just seems goofy. And fighting happens on the ground (standing on something) for the most part anyway.
#'s 1&2 above, simply describe what I'd like to see if it does return. Says that unless the character has flying abilities like Sindel used to have, gravity should be an absolute quality about fighting in the air. Just like Liu Kang in Mk2-T would throw a fire ball and fall, or how Scorpion, Smoke, or Jax would grab or throw a person down from in the air....it should be the same level of practicality.

It depends on who goes up, and whether they come right back down immediately or not.

I think there should be ninja cartwheels following into backflips. Getting air by doing a backflip off the wall or from another object. More jumping combat and more flip styles before they should move on to air air air combat

If it does come back, I'd like it to be more like what you could do in the old MKs, and like it is in Marvel VS capcom but without the super jumps.
