thats a pretty good idea i think that should be the story line but secretly blaze aint dead he just on the other side of the portal or sumting lol

Glad that you like the theory, I hope that we’ll get some light shed on the situation soon. I agree that it could be any character who could have defeated Blaze. I just think that there aren’t too many ways that they can explain the story without sounding ridiculous.

That’s another theory that Blaze might not have even been defeated. Maybe the two worlds have been merged because there wasn’t a fighter who could defeat him. Blaze might have gone mad with power because of his years of captivity by Onaga. Maybe it’s his way of getting more people to fight with him?

i think blaze will be defeated and then this will happen like you said. i think that there will be a complicated story but a good one. i liket the idea of the final armaggedon battle leaing straight into Dc. i dont want it to be a long time after.

I'm sure there are posts floating around out there about what the story could be about in this game, but here is my idea about how the two worlds "collide".

I think it would be silly to think that they would pretend in this game that no events in MKA ever happened, so I don't think they'll completely write out that storyline. So here is my thoughts on what could be. Now this isn't any long, in depth description of what's in my mind.

In the end, the power that was unleashed by the armor had a 3rd, and unknown effect. The two universes will merge together to become one. Gotham City will merge with Outworld, Metropolis will merge with the Netherrealm, etc.

Only a select few Heroes and Kombatants will survive the merger of the two worlds. Unknowing and unfamiliar with each other, the two forces engage in battle. Now, new alliances have been made to combat a greater threat.

That is my idea of the storyline for this game. I can't imagine how awesome a fight between Shao Kahn and Dark Seid would be. The thought alone blows my mind.

And if this game flops, and the MK team wishes to still continue the storyline from MKA, and write a story saying that it never MK vs. DCU never happened, they can make all the events that happened in MK vs DCU just have been someones dream, in particular the new protagonist. Then they would be able to show the events that actually happened.

This is all just a very vague idea of what could possibly happen. I haven't thought everything out, but tell me your ideas and thoughts.

As much as I hate the idea of this game, there is nothing that I can do about it. This game will be made, so I might as well accept it and just give my input and speculate like everyone else will.

i like that theory.. also what if blaze's defeat, by whoever's hands, creates a dimensional rift that sucks our beloved MK characters in? Before i forget... Darksied vs shao khan would be awesome, as would Green Lantern Vs Shang Tsung especially if he had the giant green snake from deception's opening as an attack.

It’s nice to see that someone is sharing my thoughts, sorry for treading on your toes though. There should really be an official thread on this subject where people can speculate how the games will flow from one to another. I really like the idea of certain places being merged; they could use that to create whole new levels. It will be interesting to see how to explain certain people surviving and others being killed in the merge.

yes it was said tge other day that the worlds would merge with people being out of place. i think this fits the theory good. i agree that there should be an official thread for this topic, how do we get one stickied at the top? i think its a very exciting point to dicuss. i think the people being killed might be an explosion or sumthing.

That sounds alright I guess. To Grimm..the "dreamer" sounds alot like Kai's MKA ending. He's given some "great fore-sight" if he's the one that defeats Blaze. Sounds something like an oracle to me. The unexpected third brother scenario sounds interesting too. Rain. But I'd be let down even more about it if Rain is major, cuz he's a corny concept to begin with. I think that since both of these franchises are dealing with "end all" scenarios currently, there's an opportunity for both of them to deal with these issues in one instance. Maybe using this game as a segway of sorts. Explaining some things that happened and then breaking from these events completely if they wanna make any parts of it canon. (I hope not)

Could effect the way DC is handling their comics after this game too.

I think it's gonna be the two evil gods though, Shinnok and Darksied. They have enough power, and integrity to deal with each other for this thing. Do some fantastic "magical" opening cinematic or something....show them fighting, show them stalemate eachother, and then show them concluding that neither is more powerful than the other and whatever else...

Mainly, I don't like this either. So essentially, I don't care about this story they're writing. Right now I just want them to get it over with. Like ripping adhesive tape off skin, you just know it's gonna hurt...

i really like the idea of two gods fighting at the start, that sounds like it would be good. i hope they consider that. they would be an obvious two to pick as direct comparissons. if shang tsung waz who defeated blaze that would be amazing. i really like that idea although i still think rain would be good as the idea of armaggedon was one of the brothers being destined to kill blaze.

I think your theory is a possibility but, I really think they are going to completely ignore the events of Armegeddon and they are just going to make the mk vs dc story seperate from the previous games.

Thats a better move as they always can return to make MK8 .
I hope that this is just a spin off .

I just want this to be released so it is out of the way
and we can move on to an actual MK game

This game cannot be cannon. To me, the MK story line finished in MK Deception. Armageddon is just a bonus.
