Probably because Marvel is used the most for Crossovers and you don't see too much of DC fighting in a crossover. Plus, you have 3 too many.

Considering Capcom used Marvel characters for their games, I figure MK wanted to try something different. Besides, we don't know what went down behind the scenes...maybe they wanted to do something with Marvel, but couldn't come to an agreement. A lot of what we see has tons of politics around it...it's not as simple as just saying "let's do this because it would be cool."

And they have a good reason almost all fighting games are superior to MK tekken, virtua fighter, Soul calibur the list goes on and on I mean the new DBZ game looks cooler than MK.

Why would they want to lose their fan base just like the geniuses at MIDWAY did. Also boon says he is a fan of all the other fighting games I bet none of those devolpers would even think of playing MK. I mean everybody got what they wanted except us MK fans street fighter game tekken 6 etc.

Every DBZ game looks the same there's nothing new all they do is add a character here or there but the story and everything else is the same.

Yeah but al least their loyal to the fans but this new one is different its really smooth and FUN to play thats the important thing also have you tried it????

Unlike MK, each new DBZ game improves the gameplay from the previous game. And it is actually fun to play. Heck, you even have more freedom when it comes to creating combos. And that with just one punch and kick button.

So the Story may always be the same, but the gameplay is actually good. Which is ultimately the important thing in a fighting game.

I dare say Tenkaichi was a step or two down from Budokai 3, actually.

Well, as much as Atari wants to sell it that way, the Budokai Tenkaichi games have nothing to do with the previous 3 Budokai games that came before it.

The normal Budokai series were developed by Dimps and the Tenkaichi games were developed by Spike and were supposed to be more like DBZ simulators than traditional fighting games.

Well thats your opininon but its much more funner than RECENT MK games well anything is except SM whitch you cant really compared but I really like SM. Did you try the burst limit DEMO the new one???? its much more different.

i like wolverine and gambit and thats about it. i like all the movies though

I know X-men had their time for a crossover with streetfighter.But,When i was playing Xmen legends 1 and 2 acoplyoese,It gave me a thrill.Next time if mk does have a crossover(which ill doubt it),maybe picking xmen next time.

Recent MK games have failed to deliver good and FUN gameplay its the stiffest fighting game out there and its NOT fun to play well thats only if you are a fanboy and your blinded by the characters and story and dont care about how crap the gameplay is.

Oh, believe it. Just because it's an Anime based game, it shouldn't be looked down upon.



I don't know what it is that makes people live in denial. I like the Mortal Kombat mythology and it's characters as much as the next person, but I can admit that it can't compete with the majority of other fighters out there.

And as far as finishers go, I'd laugh, it'd be sad but I'd laugh, when SCVI manags to do a better job with the Finishers than Mortal Kombat does.

The gameplay needs work in the past few MKD's but MKA was actually a lot better believe it not, trust me I'm a high level player that plays online constantly..I know.

MKD had tons of glitches, it wasn't that playable. MKA has some problems but it's not nearly as bad as MKD's. And factually MK:DA was the best balance and glitch wise, so to say all 3 are all bad is not true.

Not as good as the older MK's, that's true but they're not "ultra horrible" like some people make them out to be either...



I've played those games, they all suck except GT and the one for Wii was alright. The newer one looks not bad, but I'm talking overall as a series...MK is much better overall then DBZ is. Nobody even talks about those games, heck lol I see more people talking about KI a series that died years ago then DBZ on here and in general.

Actually, MK CAN compete...you see people forget that MK2 and UMK3 besides the newer games, those two mainly are always stilled played online in the competition world. Again, believe me I'm one of them and always play the "more competitive MK's out there" online whenever I can. SC series isn't all that, the second one was very good and the earlier once were fun but SC3 wasn't very good. It disappointed many fans, had no online play, a crappy KAK system and was PS2 exclusive only....

lol, SC4 won't do a better job then MK with it...I've seen the pics and read the article....they even admit they were inspired or stole the idea from MK's fatalities and SF's "supers".....I guess when you're struggling to get new creative ideas, you steal from other games. It's a one hit kill which will be abused....and then there's the gimmick of adding Vader and Yoda to try to get that "SC2 flare" again since it worked with Link and Spawn...
