True, Canon means it's apart of an actual occurrence, or event. Non-Canon is False, and should not be taking seriously.

Exactly.

Canon = True. Or a solid piece of information about the game that doesn't, or hasn't changed.

Non-Canon = False, "Now Retconed", Speculation, or "just for fun".

To "Retcon" is to go back and erase, or change a piece of canon material so that it now means something else to the current canon.
