Lol, MKDA is my least favorite. It's the most overrated MK game if you ask me, whereas MK4 is definitely the most underrated.
Ok, so I just played MK4 a few minutes ago, and my verdict it that it's fun. It's simple, but so was MK1. It was fast and I actually could play without having to memorize a move list first.
Is it one of the best fighters out there? Hell no. But it's good, simple fun.
Btw, is side-stepping even needed in MK4? Did it a couple times only to find out that it's useless.

Well, I suppose if you got a rock in the background that you want to hurl at your enemy, that's when side stepping comes into play.
But still. I'd rather play MKDA than MK4 any day. And my favorite MK game is Trilogy, so I PREFER the old school style gameplay.
Hey, I'd play Deadly Alliance too if I had to choose. Out of the 3 last-gen games, I feel like the most work went into DA. And I prefer Scorpions fighting styles in that game. I don't know why one of them was changed in Deception. Or why the heck they left out Kung Lao.

I think Scorpion's MKDA costume was one of the best. I wish they brought it over to Armageddon as his alternate outfit. It had a real ninja look to it, and I liked the way his yellow sashes were textured. Beautiful outfit.
It's definitely my favorite too. For the same reasons. In later games, his outfit just got too busy looking. I also was never a fan on his secondary alt. Looks like some neo, futuristic Ninja from a bad comic. I really liked the one with his skull exposed.

Just, if they toned down his muscles, a bit.
But I guess there could be a logical explanation for it, considering they said he started gaining strength in the Netherealm, whereas Quan Chi was losing strength. So if you want to define someone's strength by the size of his muscles, then it kinda makes sense.
