I'm a little ignorant about commics, but I just wonder if DC fan forums are stoked about this game or hating it as much as 80% of the MK fans are.

Does anyone visit DC forums? What are the links? What are DC fans saying? Do they even know the game is coming out?

DC fans are mixed, some like the idea solely as a DC fighting game, some of us hate it, some are stoked because we're fans of both and some of us hate the idea because we're fans of both. No different than these boards.

They're far more open to the idea than we are, and those who are against the idea are stating their distaste for the project far more eloquently than the average MK fan ever could.

I was wondering how the DC fans felt about it. I was expecting them to be pissed off as much as most of the MK fans are.

DC fans tend to be more mature than MK fans, but then again so do toddlers.

Well, I'm a DC fan, and I'm not that ticked at all. As a MK and DC fan, though, I would not like to see another crossover in this game for the rest of its future.

Not even a MK vs. SF game either.

we're not immature! FUCK DC!! FUCK IT! MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP! {runs around screaming}

okay seriously though, I think it's just the fact that most MK fans are hard to please

Most MK fans are very hard to please. MK could turn out to be the best MK since UMK3 and people will still find shit to complain about. No matter what, people will bitch and bitch until MK is dead.

I don't think so.

I see us pointing at the one thing they refuse to give us. lol

That's the only reason why it looks like we're hard to please iMo. They haven't delivered the "right" game, for which fans see the potential in MK yet.

So, you're gonna keep seeing complaints until they "step their game up". heh

I think that we'd be less hard to please if Boon would have done what he said he'd do and start the series over fresh. I'm usually rather easy to please but a DC crossover certainly isn't what the fans were expecting after Boon got our hopes up. If it was Image or Dark Horse or Killer Instinct I'd be less against the idea but why not wait until after the game you promised us, Boon?

Sad... but also very true.

As to the thread... I'm a fan of both, and though I'm not sure this is going to work out the way they're hyping it up to... I'm also not damning it to fail before it's even had a chance. I think a lot of the hostility comes from the fact that fans feel like they were lied to (and in many ways they were.) After MKA the next installment was supposed to be a reinvention of the MK series... and you don't generally do that in a series by making the game a crossover with another series. At this point I think any crossover for THIS game would have been frowned upon. Like I said, I"m not 100% sold on it... but I'm not condemning it before it's out of the gate either.

Yea, that's about how I felt once settled down.

Still hate it, but, I understand that perspective. Personally, I wouldn't have wanted a crossover at all...EVER. But if they had to do one, I would've preferred that they wait a game or two, and do one with some other more compatible or fan fathomed franchise. SF, SC, KI, or Marvel.

Here's an idea, why not have WB/DC , Marvel & Midway, contract the deal to where Midway develops Marvel vs DC? That'd work.

After I settled down I was still pissed. Just less pissed. Now I feel rather betrayed, like Boon bitchslapped me with his massive eyebrows. This was just the wrong time in the series to do a crossover especially with the way Armegeddon ended.

I'm a huge DC fan I read a lot of the Batman comics, I'm new to this forum and I will have to say when I first heard this idea I was very excited!! I mean I get to see my two favorite characters in a game together, Batman and Scorpion!! Most DC fans like me are excited for this game, it's mostly Mortal Kombat fans who hate the idea. I am a fan of both, But I have many Batman comics.

Pretty much what this dude said, some like the idea some don't...

Either way, DC hasn't been in the spotlight in the gaming word for quite some time and MK8 will do just that.

As a DC fan myself besides MK, I'm actually really hyped for this. I wanted a DC fighting game so bad, love my MK and now I get both.glasses

FTR, all of my comic book friends are hyped about this game that I know personally.smile

Yeah dude, you bet. That's how it is with my friends, except on who hates DC and loves Marvel up the ass....but even he admitted he's curious, a little.

My other pals who love both DC and Marvel want this game bad.glasses
