i think run button in the better choise...double tappin sound like a capcom game or something
what do you think??

I honestly don't care as long as it works well gameplay wise, I would take back the run button from UMK3 since it worked great in that game or a newer double tap dash/run also.
I'm for either as long as it works well.

Please double tapping. The one thing i hate about the classic MK games is amount of screwing the controls do to your head. I mean, a run button? In MK4 the controls are even beyond ridiculous, i mean, two dodging buttons? MAJOR WTF??
Simply keep the control scheme 2.5D, i mean, a bit like Tekken:
Up = jump
Down = crouch
Front = walk forward
Back = walk backward
tap Up = move away from player
tap down = move towards player
tap back = dash back
tap front = dash front.
The block button is what needs to stay true!

I use both.
The run button was pretty fun to me.
Double tapping makes sense though. Either way, I'm good with it.

I vote double tap. it's easier to do IMO.
definitely bring back the run button! the double tap wouldnt work in MK bekuz they'd have to change all the moves. no more "fwd fwd Lowkick" for Liu Kangs flying kick for example. the lack of a run function i thought was the only flaw in MK 5, 6, and 7.

It really wasn't that hard, quite easy actually once you got the hang of it.
Ohh god no Tekken again man lol, MK shouldn't be like Tekken just like SF shouldn't be like SC lol. Tekken is strickly 3D always has been and most likely always will be. The running in the older games worked because of the 2D engine/fighting mechanic.
As long as it works, I'm fine with both give me either Midway.
