Fighting mechanic speculation

I was just wondering what the new fighting engine would be like.
Will it have long button mashing combos like street fighter or will it be more like Virtua Fighter were it is a very slow and balanced fighting system
I hope it's something completely fresh that is really accessible to begginners and there is no way a button masher could win.
Tell me what you think.

right now nothing of the fighting mechanic(other than free fall kombat and the close quaters boxing style thing) is known. I'ts supposed to be completely from scratch, but a few members already claim that they've seen similarities. I'm at least sure that multiple fighting styles are out.

From the trailer it looked clunky as always. They need to bring the speed back into the games.

I'm guessing...
- Dial-a-combo system!
- A cool looking throw!
- A parry type sort of thing...
- Klose Kombat!
- Falling not Air but in the Air coz ur Falling Kombat how sweet!
- infinite combos.

Yep..
I'm guessing new names, new perspectives//camera angles, same 'ol same 'ol.
I wonder if we'll get to turn off all the "modes".

Damn. Those screenshots could be from the same game, except for the moodier lighting in MK vs DC.
I see that the game model design hasn't changed a bit. Which is a real shame because the MKDA/D/A ones are quite... shiity.

LOL!! "Hhhmmm" indeed!
Each game has a coverup to disguise the abysmal, clunky, slow and flawed fighting system. This game will be no different.
MKDA: Brand new multiple style system!
MKD: More fatalities!
MKA: Every freakin character!
MKvsDCU: You get to beat up Aquaman!
It IS going to be the same type of fighting system. Overly simplistic dial a combos that went out in the early 90s, coupled with two new modes that look EXTREMELY simplistic. Look at the trailer. Watch the "falling" kombat thing. It's basically the same attacks over and over again...what differs is who is on top.
MAN I hope I am wrong, but with a selling point such as this crossover idea that they think is so great, they are going to be putting most of their efforts into graphics and making sure the idea meshes. Therefore, my hypothesis is that the fighting mechanics are going to take a backseat to graphics, features, and having the DC characters in the game. They will basically copy and paste their mechanics from past games as best as they can with this new technology.

Sometime I wonder. Do they cling on to motion capture just so Carlos Pesina has something to do? Mocap in fighting games has always yielded, for the most part, slow and clunky gameplay. Time to move on.

yeah.. but it also make things easier for that lazy mk team we all know and love

Looks interesting and new, I don't see dial up combos though so lol@ the people automatically thinking that off hand..
We'll just have to wait and see..
