I emailed Midway about Downloadable Characters and Patches, AND THE INFO IS GOOD!

For your reading pleasure. The first part of the post is my response to Midway, the second is there reply. Hope it puts issues to rest:

On 1/9/2009 you posed a question to Midway Support which was noted as inquiry
37560.The question you posed and our response are listed below.

Your Question, Comment or Feedback:
Hello. I am e-mailing you not as an angry consumer
but as a disappointed one. I purchased MK vs. DC
in November. Actually I got it on the 360 and PS3.
What upsets me is Midways lack to support online,
and it is a little frustrating. I am trying to
help out Midway by buying games, considering its
financial problems. And I actually got a lot of my
friends that don't even play the MK franchise buy
this game. I probably sold about 6 versions on top
of mine.
It is really getting sad how we are promised
something and it never comes through, or no news of
it happening arises. Ed Boon and his team said
there would be DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT on the
systems. There were characters promised and new
things that would arise (like patches for cheating
AKA Supermanââ,¬â"¢s ground pound and Flash's ability to
cancel out any move) in my opinion; this has always
been the problem with Midway compared to other
gaming companies. Promises are not fulfilled and
issues with games are never repaired.
Donââ,¬â"¢t get me wrong, I love Midway. I am probably
one of the biggest fans there are. But it is
upsetting that things that should be fixed ASAP do
not happen.

Please give me an e-mail back ASAP about
downloadable content and patches on problems. I do
not think I am asking much, and if I am please
alert me. I do not want to overstep my boundaries
But I think an answer to me would be fair.

Thank you for your feedback. Downloadable content and patches are being worked
on but Customer Service does not have any information on when they will be
released. I've also forwarded your feedback to the relevant parties who make
these decisions.

Thats cool that someone from Midway actually emailed you back about the situation with DLC and patches and whatnot.

But I wouldn't be surprised if none of that ever happens.

Yeah, for all the thing MIdway screws up on, you can never fault them for listening to the mk fanbase. We are the life support system for Midway after all.

The time they take to answer us is much appreciated.

Here's hoping for Reptile, Mileena, and Quan Chi.

b/c after beating the game on both sides, there is nothing to do anymore. two unlockables to play for isnt much.

Uh...multiplayer much? Fighting games aren't usually focused around single-player. The competitive nature of multiplayer is what keeps most people playing.

this is a top notch game so be patient so we can get top notch dlc! so we dont get stuck with more glitches...or an ugly ass reptilian creature

of course they are going to say they are working on it. The future is very grim for Midway. If they even have one now.

I understand what you mean.Enjoy the game for awhile and let them enjoy the success of what your playing as of now.So that what they are working on now for you will mean much more after a fair time of just the standard game itself.confused Loko foward to the wait.I sound like a chick lol.Oh and i've always been a midway fan myself so i understand the e-mail Fred.

To seanay;

1) Kabal does not have Flash's move(s). Kabal had that spin first in MK. Flash got it because Kabal isn't there.

2) Sindel has no moves in common with WonderWoman whatsoever.

Btw, since Sektor didn't make it either, they gave Lex Luthor his moves except for the teleport uppercut.....WTF?

Another thing, they give Kitana, Mileena's Ground Roll instead of her own Pretty Kick. What is all this?

It's called a huge F*ck-Up by the MK Team/Midway!sleep

Your right but if you think about it, GTA4 content is probably alot bigger. It's a whole other side story as opposed to a few characters or stages. there is alot more code to write due to the story of the lost and damned. Theres probably alot more to the gameplay as well. So i wouldnt compare the two in that aspect.

Great Job Fred!!! Just to talk I woud have to say that at least 1 or 2 DLC with the patch for free and then some kool kharacters for a few bucks more.
