A very good-looking and well put together intro movie, with just one flaw: the consistancy sucks! How many are going to say "It's not canon"?! Of COURSE it is, it's the bloody intro movie for the game! Christ!

Now, if you want to say "hang on, that can't be canon, 'cos Kenshi, Sheeva etc are in the game itself (obviously set after the, yes, *intro*)" then to you I just say that's just an example of the people making these games not giving a damn about consistancy in the storyline.

I hear Cinder has said that "It doesn't represent the characters' final fates"; firstly, obviously as it's the intro, but secondly, if Kenshi et al aren't really dead....then why kill them off in the movie showing the game's story? Which by the way has the pyramid, all the kombatants, Blaze etc (and therefore clearly setting up the story!)

I hope we get bio screens giving some insight into what the hell's going on storywise. It's a great intro; just a shame it doesn't make sense in the game it's introducing!

1. I veiwed and paused and i saw reptile in is DA Costume
i beleave that proves it
2. it was kinda funny that Onaga grabed shao khan like a hawk
does to a mouse and i beleave shao Khan got Killed
3.Liu Kang doesen't have that bruce lee scream anymore (but he well in
gamplay)
4.we now know that tt was stryker that punched mileena lol

To the guy that said Shang Tsung came across as too powerful, I have the following to say: Shang Tsung didn't come across as nearly powerful enough. He's way more powerful than Quan Chi (sans Amulet) and with access to all the souls of the people already dying in the battle, he has virtually unlimited power. Shang Tsung with a whole lot of powerful souls is at least as powerful as Shinnok without the amulet.
Anyone else hoping that Liu Kang has his chains as his weapon style after seeing them in action?

but yeah after actually seeing how cool the chains can be i really want liu to have them now.

Lets talk about the people who met Kahn's hammer.lol.

First of all, let me give congratulations to cloneofdan, li-mei-fan, and IamTheS for probably being the 3 people in these entire 10 pages of posts for actually having some damn sense...

For the 4th time, this is the intro of the movie, which has already been stated that it doesn't represent the fate of all the characters... And even if Cinder didn't make that clear, why would anyone in their right minds believe that this intro was canon? "But it's Midway, and they're probably just that dumb." Fair enough... But come on people, what is the "theme" of this game? "Armageddon", right? And what was the announcer talking about in the intro? About allies not being allies, Armageddon beginning, etc. The intro was essentially a free for all, more so between good vs. evil, but you get the point. I myself enjoyed the intro, but didn't take it entirely seriously, because some of the things that were in the intro didn't make sense, but I still enjoyed it. Favorite part was where Stryker knocked Mileena's ass out before running up the Pyramid.

Not to mention the fact that not even every single character was shown in the intro, so how could possibly have decided "the fate of all the characters"? Now, if the one big ending gives us a "story" that's similar to what happened in the intro, then yeah, this was probably the worst ending to a fighting game story ever...

But you know what, I really don't blame a lot of you for being so damn picky about things like character select screens, music, if a character's pupils aren't straight, if Sub-Zero isn't blue enough, or whatever, because it's the MK Team's own damn fault for having picky fans like this, because if any of the 3 games had any decent gameplay, just gameplay and excluding any extra things, then most people would feel good about the gameplay even if a lot of the side content was iffy.

People are complaining about this video? are you all crazy? I got wood just watchin it! It was one of the most amazing cinematics ive ever seen, no talk, all fighting! Li Mei gettin speared, Sheeva gettin sliced up, kenshi gettin owned, and Onaga takin off with Kahn, brilliant!

Best part was when Li Mei got BITCHED!!

I liked when Kenshi died too.

But around 1:51 in the movie when it shows a camera view from the pyramid looking out over all the fighters, who is the body laying on the pyramid?

Loved two things about the intro...loved Shang getting tons of screen time and also loved the power that Shao displays in that mass group battle....swinging his war hammer.....very similar to the power that Sauron wields when they flash back to him battling in LOTR...knocking crowds of people hundreds of feet with his sword

I dont get it. I thought they were going to explain why everybody was resurrected , why the hell everybody is fighting each other for no apparent reason, why the heck is everybody running towards Blaze, and why is blaze there?The story doesnt seem to make any sense this time around
