yeah it could've been better but for what it was it's great.
this intro isn't supposed to tell the entire story of the game just give us a peek at the things inside.
and like i said i think it does that well.
it serves it's purpose i think.
though your idea is very good and makes a hell of alot more sense it's not what this intro is.

Well, in MKD, the intro came after Konquest, so we will see what happens in this game.

btw, for the dude that said Smoke was bad, incorrect.In MK:D, his card says he's good, he was reprogrammed to be evil for noobs desires, however when Smoke was in Netherrealm he was glitching because he still has good in him.
Smoke is NOT evil, he was Noob's bitch more or less and as for the alliance gig well just about everyone's alliance is in jepardy.Hopefully the good guys will stay with each other though, we'll see.

the intro was amazing! the only part i hated was Li Mei getting stabbed by Hotaru...and that we didnt see much of Tanya or NItara...other than that...it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G-!

Nope. It's pointless, non-canon, and more or less destroys the mythology MK has built up over the years (gaping plot holes and all). Random, pointless chaos/carnage a good intro does not make. As amusing as it was to watch Stryker bitch slap Mileena, I'm afraid it doesn't change my opinion on this issue. There's no ramp up for the storyline, nothing on Daegon or Taven, nothing. It's just every MK character in history beating the crap out of each other because it's the "cool thing to do" whenever Blaze comes to town.
