Mortal Kombat Blood Rage?! That sounds awesome! I would love for that to be the title. I am so excited for the big reveal!

1. I worked for several big gaming sites for years and I have NEVER... never heard of an embargo lifting on a weekend, aside from the rare late Sunday night (i.e. Monday) embargo.

2. The Midway event is on Thursday. It's extremely unlikely that even the Midway PR team will be out there this weekend (I expect them to arrive Tuesday or Wednesday). Why would some European publication send your "friend" to Vegas almost a week ahead of time?

3. The Bourne game has not been hidden. A lot of info is known about it already as the game is less than 2 months from release. At best new preview builds have been sent out.

4. EU and US media do not generally have the same embargo dates since the games release at different times. While Midway only holds this one event (which is why foreign media would be attending), any Bourne/Ghostbusters coverage would be very unlikely to have the same embargo date in the US as it would in Europe.

5. Unless you can provide some hard evidence that can be confirmed next week, stop with this tall tale posts please.

Im not being defensive I was asked to present evidence to back up embargos lifting this weekend and I just did so tell me how that makes me a liar. Your logic is flawed my friend if you listen to people in the know you get good info 75% of the time. I was told on thursday that embargos were going to be lifed this week. Um... did you even look at the links you just posted?

The first is a link to an upcoming episode of GTTV that mentions nothing about an embargo lifting on anything. Just because it's a special episode that's airing at midnight does not mean that's when the embargo lifts.

The second... well I'll just quote it here...

"The embargo lifts, I'm told, like in the middle of the night on a weekend or something equally absurd. Actually I think it's just next week, but I'm being cranky."

The closest thing to "facts" you have there is the fact that there are embargoes lifting at "odd" times. Which would actually back up what I'm saying since I did mention the "rare" weekend embargo.

None of this backs up your claims.
