I've been trying to use the regular board of fighters as much as I can lately, I can do alright for the most part, usually against equally skilled people on the other end, but when I come up against people of a higher skill level and go about 3-5 rounds with reg fighters and getting my ass handed to me, I start to throw in my KAF. Now I know that I've played some of the people here, online, does this irratate you when someone does this? I can't just be a punching bag for the elite guys all the time, or is it that they can't swallow the loosing pill at all. I'm just trying to even out the match as much as I can. If my Kaf is equal to your Scorp or Sub 0 or sereena than what's the issue?

I totally get where you are coming from. Im pretty good with the regular fighters, but when i come up to someone who I just cant beat no matter how many times I try, eventually I get sick of it being an uneven match. Sorry if using KAF pisses people off, but we are huge MK fans as well, and losing every round gets old so its nice to even things out a bit with a KAF.

Really it is as simple as this. KAK's are gay, bosses are gay, infinites are gay. The minute someone goes to a KAK when I play them they will get an entirely different gameplay from me then on. I will use my KAK, I will use Blaze, I will use Moloch, I will 33 you with no rules applied. This is pretty much the standard thought process for the opponent of someone who does chose to use a KAK. Just giving a heads up on it. Zorco you are good and cool to fight man so try to refrain from using a kak or you will get games from various people that are only more difficult and now 10x more frustrating.

Quest I think you are assuming that I am a master at using my KAK, wich I am not. I'm more likely using it at about 80% of it's potential, I am beatable. I'd like to hook up again sometime though, just remember that my KAK is as about as equal as you using the reg board, maybe even weaker. I'm a straight ahead player, no tricks, no taking advantage of any glitches at all. Btw, what does " 33 you " mean? I am also focusing on the reg players alot.

Exactly, KAK vs KAK is fair. MOB vs MOB is fair. KAK > reg and most all bosses. I am saying you are better than to do this Zorco and your gameplay is far better than you give yourself credit for than to have to do this. I am sorry man but I know how discouraged you will become after using your KAK and you see how people handle it. I do see your point of view but that is like saying we are playing footballs and we are both linebacker and you are better, however I must use steroids to be on your level. Get it? It is the same principle.

What bullshit replies.
First of all.
KAF = Kreate-A-Fatality (I know, I know people say it like "kreate a fighter"...and it's even in the game that way. But, to eliminate the confusion of the lesser knowing, that's the way its most commonly used around here.)
KAK = Kreate-A-Kharacter (which is how I use it to describe the "K"haracter I made. Got me?)
"Most commonly" ok? Not saying youhave to do anything any certain way.
____________
Now, about this whole Regs vs KaKs.
It's perfectly fine to play KAK vs Regs. I've done it on a number of occasions and had various results with some of the same people, using their different or same Reg characters...or KaKs.
It's just cry babies complaining about SOME of the many jackass users online, who actually do exploit the glitches and the infinites to win. Which is a common dislike for anybody so even that is no big deal.
I play KaK no matter what happens. Go get Blaze, Go get Sareena, Go get Scorpion, Drahmin, Fujin, Kung Lao, Frost, Noob, Baraka, or whoever the hell else you wanna get while I'm playing with my KAK....Hell, go get your KaK, and use the chicken leg, and axe kick combos, the katana and the hell fire, use it all d00d....
Because I'm telling you, I WILL FIGURE YOU OUT. If it takes me 1000 times to loose to you, and 1000 changes to my KaK, the pleasure is all mine when I finally kick ur arse. haha
Using my KaK, I've lost horribly to people who are wonderfully accurate with all the aforementioned "advantages" and you know what? Now I beat alot of them consistently cuz I know how to play those moves with at least one character I'm completely comfortable with. My KaK.
I'm saying, it's all in how you play those people that use those moves. Has almost nothing to do with "KaK vs Regs". Some people play very aggressively, like with Scorpion, Noob, Baraka, or Sareena. Some people play a very passive game, like with Sub-Zero, Frost, or Kung Lao. ALOT of people play with strong attributes of either or in their game, like with Fujin, Drahmin, or Blaze. But it doesn't matter how "they" play, its how you play, and how adaptive you are to their style that beats the...."cheaters". (lol for lack of a better word)
You can play with whoever against whoever, and beat whoever. It does not matter. It's to a regular point with me now, that if you are not in better control of you character than me.....You will find those famous "cheater moves" useless.
Hahaha! You won't get to the glitches OR the infinites.
Look at it from this perspective here: "There are enough people using the same things. Like that chicken leg// axe kick// axe kick// sweep combo. Shouldn't you know what they look like by now? Don't you know what they're doing?........Block where you know those moves will hit you. The hit indicators are there, they look like little red "attack stars" that pop up quickly where ever you've been hit.
Another little "secret" apparently: Same combo as mentioned above k? Keep them off their feet as much as possible in the match. Hahaha! Their breakers will run out and they'll change how they play you dramatically. Magic!
People think they're really slick trying to use those moves on me over and over. But I promise you, when I Block where I'm supposed to, and I am sucessful at keeping them off of their feet, THEY STOP USING THOSE MOVES IN THE MATCH. It's hilarious because then, they don't know what else to do with me.
Just those two things work most of the time against most vengeful KaK "cheaters" (if that's what we must call them.). The people who are "better" at it, get different tactics from me, and I win alot that way too.
-------------------
Now, let me tell you about my KAK,
I play straight up with my KaK....fuck the hype.
When I set out to build my KaK, I tried to design my kharacter in a way that I'll have something for every type of fighter that I encountered....then as I played more and more people over time, people showed me through how I was playing them, where the "holes" where in how I played. It was consistently the same flaws that they exploited for me to see.
Like: I was built too slow for a long time, All I had to do was change my specials, my throw, and one of my jabs around a bit. Everything else stayed the same for a long while. Then, I figured out that I didn't block low very much, or use throws. Those were issues I worked out Offline, and just exercising putting my finger on those buttons fixed that.
Now I know better and I win alot more. Nothing to do with a stupid ass glitch, or having a move as dumb as the "chicken leg". I even beat some people who try to use that Game Shark now. Just pisses them off I know it. Ha!
There are enough options in the game to build a "fair KaK", and still win consistently. I don't see why everybody is so adamant about using the same few moves.....
------------------
Bottom line after this novel of a post zorcobrother1, is that you can do whatever you want during a match with someone. My advise to you is as follows.
#1. Don't even care how people feel if you're comfortable playing a way. Do what you wanna do at the end of the conversation regardless.
#2. If you feel better having the matches "look" closer....then use your KaK as an aid man. But that's just a visual cushion to soften the apparent fact that they're better than you. (no, I haven't played you before. I'm pretty sure of it. My name is the same here as it is Online.)
#3. If you wanna learn how to beat the better player, while both of you are using Regular Characters....loose alot and watch what your opponent is doing to you. Play hard, but loose alot, and learn what those character have on their move lists(its not going to change for a reg character). Then there's no surprise in "why they're using certain things on you" cuz you seen it all before.
#4. If you wanna learn how to beat the KaK that has all the bs on his move list....again, play hard and loose to the same moves, but watch what's going on.....and adapt to how that person is using those moves.
Sidestep alot, sweep alot, throw alot, parry and block alot. Try different things so you can figure out where the holes are in their style and in their character. Then just get good at executing whatever you wanna do when those holes in that type of player comes up....or whenever those players that use those same moves come up.
All the bitching needs to stop though.

Man, everybody has got a different take on it, I think I'm on the right track though. I'll just try to become more efficient with the reg players, and maybe start watching my opponent a little closer. Still, playing the KAK's or Bosses, which the latter I don't use but my brother does when he comes over( Moloch) is part of the game. I don't think the elite players should try to muscle the majority in to thinking it is uncool or "gay" to use them, I'll play anyone win or lose, it's fun for me, but at times it is frustrating too. That's why sometimes I have to win also.

I believe you can use KAKS vs. regular fighters if the KAKs are not cheap.

This is easy...
KAK vs. Regular character=not legit nor fair
KAK vs. KAK=perfectly fine since it's a match of brokenness
KAK vs. MOB=fair
MOB vs. regular character=not fair nor legit
If you play online, I wouldn't recommend using your KAK vs. regular characters you'll piss people off that way. Thank god I have xbox where you can block them.

to make a long story short. KAKs are for people who cant win unless they use a broken ass creature that can beat the shit out of 98% of the roster.

I haven't played MK:A online but from reading this and from playin Deception online people are bitchin that usin KAK on regular kharacters is unfair, well get over it Sally Sue.
How fair is it that someone spends 20 hours a day playin MK to the point of becoming unbeatable and then picking on someone who is new to the MK world. Or how fair is it when someone is cheaper than hell hit you once and then spend the rest of the match runnin from you cause they know you'll beat them.
Someone who is not as good as the next person has to learn and adapt to them to get better. So why can't a really good player learn to adapt to a KAK? It's a given thatKAK are made by everyone to be tough and really strong, who didn't see that comin?
It's not fair that a person is continually dominated by good players but then the good players compalin about the kharacters they have to fight.
MK is MK who cares who you are fightin and enjoy the fight. If someone is using a KAK learn them and adapt to them ok Sally Sue.

Too me it is. I love Using QUAN CHI for kak's. MF for sword spammers, and High, Mid, Low, combo for cheesers. Tele feet for crouchers.
My quan chi, rapes KAK's.

Quest is right on, if you use a KAK vs. a legit online=that's really lame and shows everyone you have no skill or can't win with a legitamate character thus why the odds are even when someone picks a boss or someone annoying against a KAK since KAK=broken, custom character.
Anyone can win easier with a KAK. When I play online, I never use it...unless it's KAK vs. KAK it's just not a fair match up against the normal characters.

Just because you use a k-a-k doesn't mean you have no skill. It's preferance. You make a kharacter you still have to learn how to use them. I'm gonna use a kharacter that I'm good with regardless of who I use. When I pick a new kharacter to use I have to learn them. As well I could fight 10 people in a row all of which could use the exact same kharacter doesn't mean they all fight the same way meaning that I have to adjust accordingly to that personality and not neccesarly that kharacter. I don't think the issue is the kharacter being used as it is that people can't adjust their gameplay.

I see what you are trying to say. I see your point of view I think.
Let me try.
Let’s say I'm beating you 10-0 and this is getting boring to you so you feel like using your KAK a few times just because. ??
If so, I could care less about this.
We are referring to KAK whores that break them down so much they can do easy 85%combos among certain specials. This type of player is looked down upon and I will not play them. Anyone who picks there KAK more than 50% of the time will bother the sh!t out me.

But the same could be said about someone who is dominat with a regular character. I mean that when it comes to a kak its a given that we all are gonna make 'our' character as dominant and powerful as possible. Would I be wrong on that assumption about kak? A person could pick someone like Quan Chi or Noob or anyone who has killer combos and do the same thing as you have mentioned about kak.
I think a lot has to do on the player and their personality. Because anyone person can dominate the roster or any other player when they chose one character and spend time with them finding their ins and outs. A kak fighter when you make them you are gonna spend time finding move, specials and combos that work for that character and then you have to see how well they work in combat. And they may not be that great against certain combatants.
If I fought you online and you use any old character, I have to adjust to 'your' style of play. Part of that is finding a character that I can learn and adjust to whomever that may be. I agree in that kak should not be the first or only character that a person uses but ultimately it comes down to a persons ability to adjust and adapt to another players style of play regardless of the character they are using.
I know I had to adjust in the past.
