I like his hat. If he was added, I would give his DC counterpart to be Penguin.

Keeping DLC for this game in mind gives this game great potential...

He's my favorite along with Cage. I was disappointed they didn't make the cut at first, but now I think it might be a good thing they got the game off. Hopefully they'll then be included in MK9 and have a more refreshed and refined look and feel to them. If there is another game....

I can understand why Kung Lao was not included. He often shares the same objectives as Liu Kang, and can be seen as a sidekick to him. If Robin was not in the game, then it's understandable why Kung Lao didn't make it in. OK, comparing him to Robin is a bit harsh. Nightwing?

That being said, Boon apparently wanted to include him, and I suspect he'll be available for download before long.

Of course he'll be a downloadable character. I remember Boon saying that he himself was surprised that Kung Lao never mind the final line-up and has alluded to him being a DLC in several interviews. Here's hoping he actually has a fatality unlike Shao Khan and Darkseid.
