so is this the mk adventure game that was mentioned that was in the works early this year? just noticed its in the 2002-2006 mk games thread my bad....

MK:SM was so cool, despite the trivial storyline changes. The game rocked.

I'm sure we'll see another MK adventure game at some point, just not soon now that this came out.

Man, I've been clamoring for a new MK adventure game in the same breath of MK:SM.

Like you said, despite the MINOR trivial storyline alterations, the game was fun as hell. One of my friends and I play it at least once or twice a year, because it was that good. You don't find too many co-op beat em up games like this anymore, but it was delivered and done right for once.

I would be as happy as a young girl waiting in line at the movie theater for the new Twilight movie to come out if a new MK:SM type game was coming out and it improved upon the previous system and was just overall being done right.

I don't know about anyone else, but change is great once in a while... and SM was a complete breath of fresh air after tons of one on one fighting iterations.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaamn. Man MK:SM's vs mode blew the living shit out of MKDA,MKD, and MKA. It would've been awesome to have like a 4 player brawl that had more characters than the first one did. I'd actually be excited as hell if they made a new MK fighting game with shaolin monks engine.

Damn. Shaolin Monks was a great addtion to this series. I would have loved a part 2 for my Xbox360. =^/

No. This project game was cancelled in April-May 2006, the rumoured action-adventure game in works is from another team at least.

I didn't really realize that. There may be some clever timing at play here then (To where, they make us think there is no new adventure game at all, when there actually may be one in the works?).

Still, I'm not even sick of the 1st MKSM, but I'd love a new one. I hope that's what they're doing.

Y'know, I really hope they consider making everything linear from here on out too. A new fighting game, a new adventure game....if they make another movie. All of it should match up storyline-wise.
