The more consoles they sell, the more games they sell. The more games they sell, the more money they make. That's how MS makes their money back on Xbox, the software and accessory sales. They won't make their money if they give everybody else their exclusives.

Just like how Sony isn't going to publish any Naughty Dog games on GCN or Xbox.

MS is a software company. They don't care how they make their money. You said they don't care if the game doesn't sell because they want to sell consoles. They loose money producing the console so it is important they make it up by selling games. This is why MS still makes office for mac, it sells windows for mac, it has produced unix based products as well. I am not a huge MS fan but when ppl sit and pick on an easy target it gets real sad. MS makes money however they can.

Dude your so wrong,they do care on how they make their money,wtf,their not going to invest millions of dollars and just waste it if they didnt think xbox wouldnt sale at all.Bill Gates is not someone who just throws money away if he doesnt think he can make more.They do sale software which is true but now they sale a video game console and games for pc and xbox.They wont invest in midway if they dont think they cant make more money.They do care if xbox sales or not,other wise they wouldnt still be in the video game biz if you will.Or they wouldnt be coming out with another xbox in 2005 either.Just like sega didnt make money off their systems anymore so they stoped.
Also how in the hell is this topic still in this board or not closed.Cause it has nothing to do with mkd at all....This should only be in general discussion.I am not complaning but more of pointing out that the mods are only choosing what to closed and what to keep open even if it belongs there or not...So i dont think they should close another threat until they make a apology(sorry i spelled that wrong) for keeping something open when in fact they know it shouldnt belong there.

MS has put money in failed products before. Its a business risk, everything is. They knew the Xbox might flopp. They had BILLIONS of unspent dollars and decieded to try a new market.

Of course MK: D for the PS2 would be canceled. Same way Donkey Kong Racing and Kameo were canceled for the GC when Rare was bought.
