People just don't get it, Khameleon was included because she was the only character from a MK FIGHTING GAME that was not in armageddon. So it wouldn't have been the same to have put Kia,Tremor or Jatteka in instead of Khameleon, they are from tne ADVENTURE games. And plus, Khamel,Chamel and Meat are on a far higher level than the adventure characters because they are in the fighting games, which is what MK is. MKA promised all characters from the fighting games, not adventure games, hence Khameleon being in instead of Tremor or Kia.

I don't like how you called them copy cats. THATS WHAT THEY ARE SUPOSED TO BE! Kira,Jarek,Reiko and ect. are copy cats. Chamel and Khamel are the only characters who are really suposed to copy other's moves. Caps were added for emphasis, but Ed Boon is such a liar! He said in previous interviews that she was left out for "unknown reasons" & that the Wii MK:A would have no exclusives. Honestly, I'm glad MK:A has her now & has the complete roster, but why is Boon this way? Why leave PS2 & XBox gamers behind like that? Is it true that he wanted a Wii exclusive all along or is this a BS comment for his lack of memory & she truly is a last-minute addition?

Also, according to the article, "while she still borrows special moves from other female fighters...her EAGLE CLAW fighting style makes her a character all her own."

He's lying, its evident she was left out because of time. I mean chamel,meat and motaro DO NOT HAVE ALTs, and o top of that, why is it that you can juggle motaro and not all the other boses? And he stated in fight night that chamel and motaro were created at last minute.

I kinda like it. Her costume does kind of resemble Jade's alt, but I'm not surprised considering everyone in Armageddon that was in MK:DA and MK:D has their models switched over. No one got re-vamped looks except the fighters who've been missing in action like Jerek, Kai, Fujin ect. Maybe she'll return in MK8 and have a better look.....pffft. Who am I kidding. Midway skipped over her in the roster for the other versions of MK:A....she ain't comin back....

I like her look. Not surprising or very original or mind-blowing, but it's decent. Now I'm just interested in seeing her bio and story. I can see it now...

I keep looking at the render and I still like it. I don't understand what people were expecting from her. Lol, Her first interpretation was just as good/bad. And She enters this game in just as much a similar fasion as her first appearance. Hahahaha...this is pretty silly.
Besides that, I'll just watch vids of the "Eagle Claw" they gave her....*shrugs*

Like the looks of both C/Khameleons, don't really care about either character....

Suppose I'll weigh in with my two cents. And my thoughts on Khameleon's new look are;

Huh. Nifty.

Really that's about what it boils down to. It's friggin Khameleon for heaven's sake. She's had a lone palette swap N64 exclusive appearance to her name before now. I don't particularly like or hate her... she's just.... there. I honestly cannot fathom where all this furor (both love and hate) the past year or so over this character is coming from. It's not like she had this underground fanbase all these years or anything.

Oh wait. Now I remember. This all started because Midway "promised" that EVERY character would be in the game. No one honestly gave two shits before then, and anyone who says so is either lying, or just really, really loves their obscure fighting game characters (can't fault anyone there, I'm a big Gren Kuts fan myself ). I'm still waiting for someone to explain to me why Tremor was getting so much "fan demand" for Armageddon for a little while, seeing as how he wasn't even a fighting game character, and unlike Sareena, held no story significance in the slightest.

Which brings me to my final point; by far Khameleon's most notable characteristic, her very interesting story connection to Reptile. Unlike the aforementioned Tremor, Khameleon at least carries some degree of dramatic weight with her dangling plot thread with Reptile. Nothing really to comment on until her bio gets released, except to note that as most everyone has commented on and is very obvious, she shares many costume characteristics with Chameleon, most notably the same cryptic insignia.

While the idea that Steve Beran (or whoever designed her) had her story in mind with that design choice seems doubtful to say the least (the more likely answer; cause they share damn near the same name, both were MK Trilogy exclusive palette swaps, so why not share similar costume traits?), this does make one wonder if Vogel will now connect Chameleon to the Raptors (seems likely). Very easy to do, seeing as how Chameleon, like Meat, before now has had absolutely no storyline whatsoever and is thus a blank slate of a character. For most online MK fans it seems, this makes them the least interesting storywise, and nothing worth looking forward to. Me personally, characters like this show the most promise in these areas.

Put it this way; what do Reptile, Smoke, Jade, Noob Saibot, and Ermac all have in common? They were all once palette swap hidden characters with no storyline whatsoever in their respective first appearances. They were later given stories, and damn if they didn't turn out to be some of the coolest and most interesting ones in the series.

Pauses to read through more of the "copy and paste" stuff in the thread up to now, complete with a preposterously obsessive jpeg diagram detailing Khameleon's borrowed costume traits.
