Shujinko wisened up this time. If he didn't after Onaga screwed him over as bad as he did in MKD conquest mode then I'd say there would be a huge problem with that. However this is one of the best bios so far. Hopefully Moloch's will be next.

I honestly wonder how they will write Drahmin and Moloch's. as far as I can tell, neither can speak. Perhaps the herald owl will talk for him? And maybe the flies for Drahmin?

On-topic, it's a good bio. It does wrap up some things a bit, but I'm curious if anything happened with Scorpion after the battle in the Nexus? My memory is terrible, but I remember fighting Scorpion, and then Onaga came along right after. Either it was one right after the other, or some time after, but it'd be nice if, perhaps, there was this little "alliance" between Scorpion.

Trying to find something to not make Scorpion look an ass is hard, but hey, good bio nonetheless.

This is something that I hope they touch on in Scorpion's bio. There is some speculation as to whether Monster is Scorpion. I like to think that it's the same body, and the elder gods were prepping Scorpion to be their champion since his death.

I REALLY like this one for a few reasons:

1) Shujinko is more "aware." He senses the possbility that this "message" might be a trap. About time. After having some fireball guide your destiny for about 50 years and then shattering your delusions of grandeur, it should follow that you'd develop a healthy sense of skepticism.

2) Shujinko isn't as vain as he was before. In Deception, he wanted the glory of being the champion of the Elder Gods. Now, it seems, he wants to truly protect Outworld and redeem himself for allowing Onaga to return in the first place.

Overall, it shows how Shujinko has matured as a person and actually makes me like him now.

On topic,

I too like this bio for the reasons stated above. It shows growth of his character and helps explain his role in Konquest a little more. These bios are actually making it more interesting to go back and play Konquest since they now offer insights into what were, until now, seemingly random character appearances and actions.

I take it you haven't played MKD's or MKA's Konquest mode as they clearly CAN talk.

Regarding the Scorpion fight in Konquest mode, it's another ugly plothole as it contradicts the events in his MKD bios. And it's not the only plothole in MKD's Konquest either!



Monster isn't Scorpion, but his costume design was originally going to be Scorpion's alternate costume, which I kind of knew about way before in February 2004, if I remember correctly. Basically, I was told that he would have a costume unlike anything he's had before.

To sum this up, there was going to be a storyline involving time travel, most likely Scorpion going back in time to try to stop Shujinko from putting the realms in danger. However, that whole concept was nixed but they made use of the costume design for Monster's character. There's no logical way that Monster could be Scorpion as Shujinko was around 18-20 years old when he fought Monster. Scorpion wasn't even born yet!

This had to have been written in response to the initial dislike for the character seen throughout the community. Everyone called him an idiot, he admitted he was, and now he's trying to redeem himself to the people, himself - and the MK fans.

AWESOME work on this one. One of the greatest yet!

It's a pretty good bio. While I still think Shunjinko's not the sharpest crayon in the box (after all, Konquest mode showed him locked up...), he has improved.

I know all that, but I was saying that maybe Scorpion was given the body of Monster after he died. I didn't say that Shujinko fought Scorpion back then. It would just explain why they resemble each other, and why Scorpion was not destroyed when he reached the heavens. So if Monster was a sentry in the nexus, and the elder gods sent him to the netherrealm to serve as a vessel for Scorpion's revenge, they could have been setting him up to be their champion.

Scorpion's MKD primary bio states that he managed to escape into the Void, thus him coming face to face with the Elder Gods themselves.

I think Scorpion's new design in MKD is simply the Elder Gods donning that costume on him. The similar design between his and Monster's is probably supposed to be some kind of similar costume design that the Champions of the Elder Gods wear.
