"MORTAL KOMBAT DEADLY ALLIANCE" OMEGA SOUNDTRACK RIP v.2.0
Greetings to any MK fans out there. T-rex here, though I also go by Shuriken and a variety of other names, depending on where you know me from.
If you have any comments, questions or suggestions concerning my rip,my AIM nickname is sladetheraptor.
I'm pretty much always online,so if you want to,drop me a couple of lines.
Feedback is very much appreciated.
The purpose of these releases is to provide the MK fans with the most high-quality and the most comprehensive Mortal Kombat soundtrack rips to date.
That's why I nicknamed the whole thing "Omega".
I've seen several rips of MKDA's music floating out there. Some were better, some were worse. Unfortunately, none were comprehensive enough to do the soundtrack proper justice.
With no official OST in sight,I decided to make my own rip, with blackjack and hookers.
I'm extremely anal when it comes to MK music, but I'm also a full-time college student, not to mention a lazy fucking bastard, which is why this beast took me over a year to make.
Another reason was the fact that the version you see before you is actually the second rip.
I have ripped and sequenced together pretty much all of the tracks over a year ago,but I was quite inexperienced back then,so they didn't turn out as well as I hoped.
Eventually,I decided to re-rip them in higher quality, and with the older versions to guide me,it took me significantly less time to re-rip the whole thing.
Sorry about that. Hope the end result was worth the wait.
Keep in mind, however, that my ripping technique is extremely primitive.
I record the video as I play the game, then rip the audio from said video and edit it.
Therefore,it's impossible for me to record certain tracks like, say, the Konquest cutscenes without the interference of all of the sounds and voices,as there is no way to eliminate them in the cutscenes.
I did my absolute best, and I'm actually pretty happy with how this one turned out,but this rip is not,and I repeat,NOT complete and is subject to improvement.
If you are a ripper and are willing to contribute to this project by ripping the tracks that are not properly represented here directly from the game itself,I would be immensely grateful.
THINGS OF NOTE:
TRACK #29 - ENDING 2
Even though dmkf managed to rip this directly from the code, the version I have ends before it gets to the part where I can loop it,which is why it's so short.
Sorry about that.
TRACK #30 - DRAHMIN'S ENDING
If you listen closely, you'll recognize that this track is actually a complete version of TRACK 07 - BATTLE PLAN.
Unfortunately,I am unable to rip the clear track (narration removed and everything) directly from the game itself.
TRACK #31 - REPTILE'S ENDING
TRACK #32 - SCORPION'S ENDING
TRACK #33 - SHANG TSUNG'S ENDING
Again,I don't have clean versions of these tracks, which I why I had to include the the incomplete ones with narration over them.
Each of these tracks is also featured in other characters' ending.
The reason I chose those particular ones is because they are the longest and, therefore, provide a more complete representation of the track in question.
TRACK #35 - TEST YOUR SIGHT
Again,I don't have direct rips,so I had to make due with what I recorded myself.
The problem is,even the longest TYS trial available,LV MAX,ends before the track is able to loop even once, hence why it's so short.
If any rippers out there would like to contribute by ripping these tracks,I would be immensely grateful.
TRACK #41 - KRYPT AMBIENCE
A collection of all of the various spooky noises that play in the background of the Krypt. That's just a little something I though would be fun to do.
Not sure if I got all of them, but whatever.
TRACK #43 - E3 2001 TEASER TRAILER
TRACK #44 - TRAILER 2
As indicated, these are the tracks featured in the MKDA trailers. Sorry for the shitty quality - the videos I had to rip them from were pretty low quality.
TRACK #45 - IMMORTAL
A song by the group Adema that was used to promote MKDA. Just a little bonus I decided to throw in for completion's sake.

Thank you VERY much.
It is very hard to find these things, and I like to use MK music of any kind for any MK related audios that I sometimes conduct.
The fact that it took you so long makes me appreciated the effort you put into it even more.
I'd also like to ask if you know where to find good downloads of the earlier MK games' music? Nostalgia is key in some of the things I do, and if the music is all jacked up, it can get pretty frustrating quickly. I mean, I like to edit music too, but it's a pain in the ass when there's some background noise going on, or if the volume and depth of the track is not correct. *sigh* anyway...
I had a Sega Genesis(Sega Mega Drive) and Playstation 1 & 2 so, those versions of MK music are more important to my minds memory than the others. MK1-T.
Yea, I'm pretty
about this...thank you again.
============EDIT================
They sound fucking AWESOME! This just made "MK sound" a whole hell of alot easier on me. I just wish I knew about this before I recorded the Mkast thing. I'm almost done with it right now and some of the MK1-T samples I have in there sound like crap. Tried to manip a few things, but it doesn't quite get it when you have to manipulate things..
Anyway yea, fantastic work man...

Finally,a response. =)
I have pretty much every MK OST in existence (well, the ones that matter anyway, with the exception of a couple of notable rarities). The ones I don't have,I'm working on ripping. So yeah,if you have anything in mind,PM me,and I'll hook you up. I'd actually like to post a huge thread here on MKO to share of of the MK OSTs I have amassed so far,but I'm not sure the admins will allow it. In any case, there were never any official OSTs for MKMSZ,MKSF,MKDA,MKD,MKSM and MKA,so I'll be posting those at least.
Also,at this very moment I'm that close to finishing the MKDeception Omega rip,so keep your eyes open during the next couple of days. =)

Oh hell yea!! And you do great work too?....You just made me a very happy camper buddy.
I think I've been trying to find you for a long time now...lol. At least a couple years now...heh
PM incoming.
================
Actually, you know what? I think I'll just subscribe to the source thread you make. Music is a big part of my life and I'd love to have a steady reference to a nice library from MK in game stuff. I'm so sick of the crap rips I don't know what to do with myself sometimes. lol
We'll see about a stickie depending on the rules, and how much of what games content is within the thread...I'll likely stickie it in the MK Movies and Media Discussion forum. Right now I'm all for it though.
Yea, I'm still pretty excited about this.
