they tried to buy rare a few yrs ago but microsoft bought them...so they couldnt do mk vs ki eventho ki was made in part by midway and rare together in the first place

I think anything else on the planet would have linked up better with MK, but Killer Instinct would have been a great choice. The only reason I would oppose it is for the sole fact that KI3 needs to be made (and I hate crossovers for games that have long-running stories).

True, in fact I think Rare should make KI3 flat out instead of thinking crossover with MK. Some people out there think SF, MK are dead for the changes they're implementing...yet how bad would that make KI look if they relied on crossing over with MK to revamp and regain popularity again for their own franchise?

Rare keeps bsing the fans every year, with the "we'd love to see KI3" yet never deliver...

On a personal note, I don't think KI is a good idea to be crossover with MK other then the fact of the "darkness" shared in both series. Everything else I don't like

The only thing KI would have to lend is the characters.. THATS IT. They wouldnt have to alter the gameplay or violence for KI's Characters. And Visually I love the characters from the game.. They are alot different than MKs, but would still fit very well in their world. I would love to see Spinal face off against the MK universe!

i think just about anything would be better. especially KI. I've wondered what would happen if MK and KI fought, but instead we get this DC shit.

I agree that Killer Instinct would have been a great teamup to pit against MK. In fact, it's the only one that makes any semblance of sense. The violence would only have to be modified a bit, since KI (while not to the level of MK) still had a fair amount of blood and such in it. Characters are similar. The whole scheme would fit better than any other team-up I can think of.

Personally, it should have either been that, or Midway vs. DC.

Just think of it,if Microsoft had bought midway that would have happen and with the way midway is money wise that would have been a better idea instead of Viacom.

If Microsoft had bought Midway we'd be seeing Master Chief in an MK game. that or the Marathon Man or the Oni chick.

Personally,I would love to see a KI crossover (Fulgore vs the Cyberninjas? Riptor vs Reptile? FUCK YEAH),but let's face it,at this point it's pretty much a forgotten franchise. Again,the DC fans are starved for a good videogame,so the possibility of a competent fightan gaem starring some of their flagship characters is HUGE. A KI crossover wouldn't rake in nearly as much money as a DC crossover.

i to would love to see this, but personaly i don't really see how it could work. ki and mk have two different combo systems. ki's combo system is what made ki what it is, and i'm sure if midway did away with this it would piss off many fans. unless of course they kept both combo systems in the game which would be very unlikely.

Um...If this were MK vs KI, it might be better stomached in hindsight, but I'd still have a similar standpoint on the project as a crossover.

I think I'd show more appreciation towards a MK vs SF like, 1 or 2 games into the console life or something....I played these more as a kid than anything else.

KI was great don't get me wrong, and with the blood and all that yea, they could probably fit...But I would never ask for a crossover with MK. And certainly not as an entry to the newest consoles.

I think KI's fighting mechanic is way too technical for MK..... either you'd have to boost up MK's complexity or tone down KI. in both scenarios, there would be fans bitching and complaining STILL.

So just fucking deal with the fact it's vs DC and move on with your life.

Since when, ever, have the MK fans just "dealt" with it or moved on with their lives? We're still passionately divided over the quality of Shoalin Monks' story, MK:A's overall quality, and even whether Sub-Zero should have his scar or not.
