On the contrary my friend,they wait two months after the release of a new game,every developer knows that,and as for the platimnum edition,good idea but it can't be made with us just blabeering about it,lets start a petition so we can confirm it.Then everybody's happy.

Erm, no. Devlopers work on the next game BEFORE the current one is already released, every devloper does that. How do you think they have gotten so far into Final Fantasy XIII?

Jesus all they have to do is take out motor kombat,thats pretty much is what is in the way,and replace it with bios,FMVs,and maybe khemeleon.It seems logical and possible and it isnt gonna get done with us just talking about it,but if people would realise that this is more our game than anybody elses,then we can at least say we tryed,we tryed to put midway and all others in their places below us,but that isnt gonna happen with people flaming ther asses off at me when Im not their real target.Together we can do this,but with only me or two or three others it will fail.Now come on for your own sakes,lets make this game the way WE want it.

They are gonna make another game for next gen, so why don't you just get that game for your friend? And I've bet alot of people have grown up with mk, but they are not that upset because of one game not being the way the exactly wanted it. I've played Mk1 all the way to Mka and I do agree that the story and other stuff isn't that great, but come on..
The only reason I'm sorry for your friend is because he's sick. If he was like anyone else I would feel no sympathy for him and not even waste my time posting on this thread.

I wouldn't mind seeing a remake/umk3/mkt/mkg/director's cut/etc style version of this game.
A petition may have some chance of success, especially if there's overwhelming support for it. But it would be more interesting to take things one step further.
Set up an escrow account, along with a website and a petition. Make a list of features desired. Allow people to sign the petition, but also allow people to preorder the game, using this escrow account. The money's return if no game is ever released, otherwise its used to buy a copy of the game from Midway or a reseller. (Or maybe the money is just returned either way, to avoid shipping costs and other logistic issues). Maybe only people who "preorder" the game get to vote, or maybe everyone can vote, and the totals are shown for everyone, then seperately for people who "preordered".
The idea is to show Midway enough people are really willing to spend money on this game to the point where they want to make it to collect this money. Or conversely, to prove that no one really would buy the game and they shouldn't bother with it.

So what you are saying is that I should sign an internet petition because your friend is going to die of terminal mortal kombat? I'm not getting the point to this.
Sure I could've used more combos in kak, but that's the only bad thing I can say about this game...Really do wish they had more combos though.
Like 4 3-hit, 3 4-hit, and 2 5-hit combos...IS THAT SO MUCH TO ASK!!!

There is nothing wrong with wishing this game was revamped and revised. Go check out Tgrant's thread about MK being diminished with its new crap story, tons and tons of people have been stating how much they hate the story and how much this game was a slap in the face. More people on this website are upset with the game than people that are happy with it. And to everybody that says the fighting is awesome. lol you guys are crazy. Go play Soul Caliber 2 or 3, MK has had chances to make its fighting like all the other new games that are coming out but they keep using recycled stuff and its not better. It may be a little faster, but it also stalls on the offense sometimes, and there are like 50 percent less combos than the last game, not just a complete fighting style missing, but combos are missing and replaced with air kombat kombos. the only way to get a good kombo on somebody is to knock them into the air, and thats if you got a good fighter who has a pop up combo, some dont. This games fighting is nothing near spectacular, like I said, Im not telling you to leave Mortal Kombat, but go play soul caliber and you will see how much MK's fighting is a thing of the past that they have never taken the time or care to advance it. Woopity doo we get wake ups wow!! oh wait and parries wow! and KAF isnt as advanced as they said, its all everybody elses moves and you cant name anything, like i said before Soul Caliber 3 KAF blows MKA;s out of the water man. This game has nothing new to offer, its all old stuff, and if it wasnt in a MK game before, its in other fighting games already and has been for a while.
If somebody were to make a petition that would actually get sent to Midway, I would sign it 500 times. I just dont know if anybody who could send it to midway will care enough to take the time to do it. peace

#1. Yea F'N Right John! 1/7 everything. The K-A-F Is terrible when it come's to matching items. No Emblem editor. No face paint except for a natural face setup. Kabal's mask you cant even use hair!! WTF? The K-A-F thing is a F'N Joke peroid. I like it, don't get me wrong. However it's bogus.
#2. Kintaro. "1" 3 hit combo in each style type! Can you say ruined? Even goro has a wider varity.
#3. The K-A-F Move Slots. It sucks. I knew you couldn't be cheap. Understandable. With the way they setup the button configuration, it's a nightmare.
#4. The K-A-F Weapons. You can only use Swords and Axes? This totally ruined half my K-A-F projects. I needed the Jo, Staff, etc... Swords/Axes as the only weapon is really shitty.
#5. Online K-A-F Useage. When someone load's they're created fighter and you click your fighter but decide you wanna change.. You cant! You have to sit they're while it loads and cant even press triangle.
I love mortal kombat and this game. The stuff i pointed out really puts a damper on half the stuff that could of made the K-A-F replay value that much more exciting.

I suppose it should be rephrased the the fighting is awesome....for an MK game. I still prefer Tekken over MK for gameplay, but something still just draws me in to MK.

They really should've added Downloadable Content via XBL for MKA, where they can add stuff whenever they want.

let me explain:Boon said that MkArmageddon wil be the last MKGame for this generation,and Why In The Hell they put on the Wii system instead of Gamecube?
And also why they don't put it also for PCs?
And,as Shredder said before there's nothing worng about complaining this game:70% of people isn't that happy about the game,and of this 70% at least 35% hates MKArmageddon.
Noone said that Armageddon isn't a good game,but everyoe wanted a better game with fatalities,more combos,more KAKs,ecc.
Noone has ask about a Motor Kombat(they can ut in it just Chess Kombat that don't take so much space on DVD) and noone ask about remake fatalities.
The problem is:they change the things that we likes(Fatalities,Fighting system,endings,ecc) and leave no-changed the thing that NEEDS to be chabged(graphic,3D models,ecc).
And BTW before MKA getting out a lot of people complain with Ed Boon but he:
1) didn't listen
2) he(or someone else of Midway staff) said that will be specific fatalities moves per characters(the new fatality system would have enders and moves to chian specifically for characters).
as we can get now,he don't take the promises.

Ed said a while back in an interview, something about them already working on the next MK.
I think that was like a month before MKA came out.
Planning stages I presume and testing the game engine.
They've been getting ready for the next game for a long time.

I'll just pick out something about this comment that is wrong IMO.
The things that need to change in order to make a new game.
The game play is #1 The game play needed some improvements and so it was done.
The character models are already made and they look good, so they don't need to be remade.
A lot of people complained about the game play being too crappy. Too slow with tons of glitches caused by bad design.
The MK team added quite a few things to try and fix that.
You can tell they listen, because they added things that were specifically asked for over and over.
Mainly a wake up game
Parry
Faster recovery on attacks
better air combat
Lots of fatalities for every character
better konquest mode
There are still a ton of things that need to be fixed, but you can see they do pay attention, to some degree.
That they don't do it perfectly, well
1 = they aren't mind readers
2 = they aren't perfect
3 = they do the best they can with what they know more or less.
4 = they do what they want, because they are developing the game.

I agree with bleed , just get over some of the disapointing stuff in this game , enjoy for what it is , there are miday blogs everywhere I'm sure the Ed and the gang will lokk back at this and try to correct the mistakes of this mkA to make mk8 better.................thats what I would hope for instead of complaining about how the game should be remade....

I would not have a remake on this game just for the story, on its own the fighting in this game is very fun. I admit that Konquest is short and could have had more characters involved, but I enjoyed the new character Taven and I like how Konquest explained the origin of the Red Dragon.
Just leave it be, this was a game that was meant to be a brawler. I would suggest that Midway and the Mortal Kombat developers could create a comic book series, or a bonus disk for Mortal Kombat 8 that explains the fate of the characters that are not returning.

They Are Remaking It!!!
Seriously guys, you don't think some of the lack of quality of this version was atleast partly intentional?
They set it up so there be more incentive to buy the new improved Wii version, which will probably have a fuller KaK, actual stories/endings/bios, more motor kombat contestants, maybe even extra arcade characters.
Midway does stuff like this each time, and each time people seem surprised..
They've probably been busting there asses expending this version, and making it fit to the Wii system since even before the ps2 and xbox versions were packaged.

I am sure they will remake MKA for PS2 and Xbox...it would be unfair if the Nintendo Wii consumers get more features than the other game console owners. I think this game was rushed and could have more work put into it. Smoke and Mokap have no weapons. I personally would have given Smoke a blue pulse blade for him being still cyborg and Cyrax has a green one and Sektor has 2 red ones. Mokap would be given a microphone stand as one...lol Bios do help a lot, and most of those shitty endings need to be remade as well. Yes expand KAK mode more so you can make many fighters, more stages and at the character select screen as they did in MKT the characters before you select them should be in their fighting stance, then when you pick them, they do their pose. Dear god...they should bring back the ending animation cells they used in MKDA and MKD. To sum it up, all who is in favor of a remake, I AGREE MOST DEFIANTELY ON THAT!!! Motor Kombat is fun to play and the online mode is fun too, I wouldn't change that a bit. It only makes sense.
