yeah, I didn't even think about pre-owned. They will probably have those out the first week. I've seen some pre-owned games out the second day of release.

Well, I never buy MK games anymore. I always rent so this will be no exception. I may buy due to the whole crossover thing but I'll have to see a lot more before I make that kind of decision.

Nope, I actually rented MKA first too.

I'll be doing the same here, and, hopefully it's a fun game to play. Cuz then I'll get a pre-owned one.

I'm so turned off by the venture so, I will absolutely not be buying this game on release. Might even take a couple months for me to actually buy one....

I got SC4 on pre-order right now though, so maybe I'll buy MK8 after I get bored with SC4.

Don't get it twisted though, I was SO certain I was gonna pre-order Mk8 too....but ah well.

I might have to wait on a review, but its a 80/20% im buying it. Unless they really fuck up the fighting and gameplay. It needs to be smooooth. Like DOA. NO MORE TYPE A COMBO.

I finished Armaggedon's Konquest on overnight rental, made a couple of KAKs, and played around with some of the characters I liked.

I still haven't bought it.

I'm buying I love MKs story but I'm willing to give this games a 60$ chance "unleess theres a special edition then i'll give that a better chance" I mean god I bought viking battle for asgard because I liked Spartan and Rome Total war I don't care what reviews say any more games like assiasins creed got great reviews but I thought it got stale quicker than an oreo and the ending left me just as much

Yes and no.

My friend Jen is a hardcore fan, I know she will buy it... so I am just going to test it out at her place and decide if I want to invest in a PS3 and MK8.

But if I didn't have her as a friend, yes, I would definitely rent it first... but that means I'd have to own a PS3.................. so, no I guess I wouldn't rent it first. Because MK is the only reason I get consoles (lol).
So no... I wouldn't rent it first if I were in that situation.

But "believe you me" I am going to read EVERY major review and fan responses to the game (the one who make legitimate critiques).

I'm definitely going to either rent it or wait it out for a cheap pre-owned copy.

... but this will be the first MK game I haven't bought on day one. I'm gonna give it a shot, just to be fair, but, well, my expectations are low.

Well, I dont have a PS3 nor an Xbox360.....but yeah, I guess I world buy it.

See, I'm just as severely disappointed as the 99.99% of the community about the game, but not because it has “Batman”, but because we were promised a REAL MK game...something that was supposed to be:

- More Darker
- More Brutal
- Continue and give perfect closure to the storyline of the MKDA-MKD-MKA saga.
- Fatalities

I'm not typing anything about the gameplay because, apparently, they are working on that in this new game, so we are at least getting that.

But I fear they will fu** the storyline again, and I would hate it if they write something that’s cheesy and SO not Mk.

MK needs its beautiful story back, to continue, to have proper closure and give us ALL the required trivia, info and explanation on ALL the characters...they failed miserably in MKA, they promised to do this now...but apparently, they wont...yet again.

*sigh*

Anyhow, I'm giving this game a chance, it looks fun, it looks interesting....IT BETTER HAVE A LOT OF WELL DEVELOPED MK CHARACTERS! (20-is-not-enough....Im all for quality, but thats just too little!)
