If I remember right it started out as a rumor on trmk.com or something. Either way it was quite a while back... I don't think anybody for sure really knows except for Midway so it's best to assume nothing until you actually see proof....then by all means proceed with the Midway groin kicking.

I couldn't remember where exactly it started which is why I said "if I remember right" at the beginning. Not like it matters anyway. It's a rumor. Until there's evidence to prove it (screenshot, movie, Midway saying so) - it shouldn't be taken seriously.

Depending on how accurate you want to be, you might say you're both wrong. It's not like this is a new rumor. It's just been revived for MK8, with absolutely no more credibility than before.

If anything, you'd think a debut on "next gen" consoles and the promise of a fresh start for MK would make it especially unlikely right now.

A fanbase with an overactive imagination and a child-like innocence doesn't help, either. Especially not when they're ready to pounce on any little thing like [Ed] Boon mentioning he likes Tekken, or can imagine a Killer Instinct or Street Fighter crossover. Goons!
