Why are they so non-chalante about this?

Remeber in MK:A when we were starving for information and we hardly got any until the game was within a month of release? Yeah, I love how they're releasing renders and interviews so quickly this time around. On the other hand, Boon and Co are never this good to us. Normally MK is reluctant to give us tons of info, or info in general. Why are they doing this? Is it DC's doing?

Their giving us the goods now, because they have better stuff planned for E3/Comi-Con. Then after those event's, I'm sure we'll go back to nothing till near the end of production. My guess.

maybe they feel the need to reassure fans more than they usually would. or maybe they're trying to appeal to mainstream gamers and fighting game fans and not just mortal kombat fans.

MKvsDC is also, as we saw first hand, going to need greater promotion to prove it's a product fans should be interested in. Armageddon was a nostalgia release for unsuspecting fans who enjoyed MKDA and MKD, and had very little new material, which is why there was less to release.

I'd have to agree that I think they started far too soon, but the quantity seems pretty right. Hopefully we can head into the game with a few surprises still waiting.

That's what I was thinking. From the word "go", this current project was not well recieved. There was quite an outrage about it. So perhaps they want to show as much of it as possible was a way to aleviate some of the fans concerns about such a crossover. Dunno.

We got a ton of info on MKA when it was revealed, and we're getting little info right now. Imean, what do we have right now? A few gimmicks in the gameplay and some characters. When MKA was announced, we got almost all the characters, features, gameplay, gimmicks, Konquest, etc.

I don't get what you're talking about at all. MKA revealed nearly everything to us. What happened to the good old days where we actually got a few surprises in the game when we actually sat down to play it?

I like having secrets stay unrevealed but how bout actually tell us how the game's mechanics will work? Wont that help reassure fans more than all these fuckin' renders?

I mean, I think the gameplay looks great, but I'd like to know that since the roster is so small that the characters I like are in the game

It looks okay but what I'm concerned about is the Freefall/Klose Kombat thing. Also I'm wondering how the removal of dial ups will effect combinations as a whole.

Dark Knight maybe one of the most popular summer blockbusters in history.

Ride the wave. Get Batman's face (and this game) out there why it's hot.

I don't think they can be nonchalant about this game given the initial reaction. But even then, it's still pretty good timing by the marketing team and when Boon wants things released to the public. E3 starts Friday.

Besides that, it's really late to be trickling info out to the public. Why hold on to it now? It wouldn't help anything for them.

I suspected a flood of info, right around the time the game is released a little while ago.

"flood the block".

Get's people's attention right around the time of release because it's just, SO much info about the game floating around at one time. It's a very smart, and affective way to handle advertising, and get those big numbers for the hierarchy of investors.

I think they'd have to anyway, with Gears of War coming out around the same time. 1 rpg & 1 fighting game at the same time. Gears of War is bigger than them right now, so they'd have to be paying attention to that...

They have to give information, interviews and renders so people get behind this game. MKA = selling immediately. MK vs DCU = hesitatant sales

Inform the people so it is not that strange and there is a better chance they will buy it.

Honestly, I think they're just doing whatever it takes to keep the fans, because they know that they're hanging on by a thread.
