I would. I have before and I will again.
what about you?

Absolutely not. What for? One is enough until its damaged.

If I had both a PS3 and a 360, and the two versions had something different about them, like a different bonus character or something of that sort, then maybe.

Well, I never cared that much for DC anyway, I mean I like it, but I probably won't download the additional DLCs, unless they're the characters I like, like Black Canary. Or whoever looks cool.

I don't know about you, but when DLC comes along, I'm jumpin' on it. Especially if the polls are right and Reptile and Lobo are being included.

Well, like I said, if the character visually appeals to me, I'll buy it. Like, personally, I wouldn't download Flash, I'm not crazy about his costume. But Deathstroke, I'd download in a heartbeat.

I'd have to say I'm just going to download whatever is released. I want the full experience and nothing less.

Well, like I said, I'm not that much into the DC universe. So chances are, I'd only play as a DC character 25% of the time. I'm more looking forward to the MK aspect of it and the story mode on both sides.

Interesting. I'd say DC is the biggest thing keeping me interested in this game. If it wasn't for DC, they'd have to have some other gimmick to keep everyone interested. I guess that was supposed to be the promise of all new characters except for Sub and Scorp. We'll see if they deliver on that the next game. But, given their track record on roster additions since Tobias' departure, I won't get my hopes too high. Actually, I've been pleasantly surprised on this game so far. I was expecting a lot worse. I guess MK is just like the kid who gets C's so that no one expects him to get A's. LOL

A kid who tries, though. MK's got heart. That's what makes it my favorite fighting franchise still. Because games like Soul Calibur, Tekken, Street Fighter. They're made by a machine (referring to the company which applies to said game) which produces games based on a formula, which is why Tekken's gameplay is always the same, and why Street Fighter lasted so long as a 2D game.
Other franchises like King of Fighters and Mortal Kombat have fell behind among mainstream games, yet they still fight and persevere. And I admire that.
But aside from that it's the characters. I'd rather play as Scorpion and Sub-Zero than characters like Bryan Fury or Kazuya Mishima, who are my favorite Tekken characters.

I wouldn't buy one copy of this game if the price were $5 and I was at gun point. THAT'S how much I fucking hate DC. I'd rent it but I wouldn't buy it.

Ya know, there's a little saying, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
I'm not saying don't change. But do it by adding new things, not by taking away the things that are great.

What I don't understand is why there's a double standard with fighting games about that saying.
With fighting games it's like, "Oh, Tekken has a solid system, so they don't change it. That's a good thing."
But with every other single game out there, it's always like, "This game doesn't have anything absolutely different and innovative in it, and because of that, we're gonna give it a low rating."

How does that account for universal Street Fighter and Virtua Fighter praise? I've been part of various fighting game communites and I've never heard any one person say both of those things. If I did I'd be sure to them aware of how horribly stupid they were.
Unless you're talking about game reviewers, in which case, why do you still pay attention to game reviewers? As Jane Austin wrote, it is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a videogame reviewer to strangle for being such an idiot.
There is no double standard, and trying to paint Mortal Kombat as some poor victimized franchise won't make the games any better.
As far as the thread topic goes I don't even know if I'm going to buy one copy.

It's too repetitive IMO. Though it's not a bad game it's certainly not that great. Highly overrated.

Probably because those games in question that get graded poorly are the ones that try to imitate and don't do it as well as the original. The only way you get ahead in business by stealing ideas is if you do it better than the original. Like Saint's Row

Well, I could name a few games that were extremely successful under their original mechanics, then because of stupid critics, decided to change their mechanics with sequels.

Actually, Zentile's right. Moreover, SF isn't overrated at all. Its rates are well-deserved, since the game is the great and still highly enjoyable protoplast of all fighters (besides IK

I'd like to add that Street Fighter has actually made a ton of changes in terms of gameplay mechanics. All for the better might I add.
Renovations such as super combo gauges, air blocking, guard power gauges, alpha counters, parrying, and the ability to tech virtually any move.

No, but I'd write a comic series for free! So, y'know... They wouldn't have to worry about lunch for a couple of days!
