@ MKF- I like the 360 and Wii... but just not as much as PS3. If I had to choose systems, I'd put it in this order.

I want both actually for different reasons, ...Wii for intuitivity, fun to play and certain games as well like Mario Kart online, SSB online, sports titles. The 360 for mainly online play and to play MK8, Quake 4, a few other titles.

MK2 is the most garbage MK game online after MKD.
Its just the game itself. No its not the lag (lag is only bad when someone is on the computer) its just weird to play. Its the only MK game out where the controls sometimes don't respond.

PS3: 90% (a lot more interesting games coming out soon)
360: 60% (Gears of war and Bioshock. Halo is gabage and repetitive like GTA plus I can get a lot of 360 games on the PS3)
Wii: 20% (SSBB and plus my brother got one in his room and I still barely play it)
Plus you have to have patience if you want a PS3. If you want games as soon as possible you'll get a 360, but if you want fun little games to play with your family, you'll get the Wii.

Ok, saying MK2 is bad is almost as bad as saying UMK3 is bad...and seriously that's beyond not true..... lol and I totally agree with Dan here. It's one of the most famous, classic MK's ever made easily. Ohh yeah btw, MKA is actually the worst MK game online...by far worse then MKD. MKD plays pretty good actually compared to MKA.

And I do agree with Dan on the lag scenario..lag happens with all online games at some point.

BTW, Dan how does MK2 play online. The guys I know besides you that play it like Konqrr for example say it's good and one of the better games for PS3 out there.

Also, how much is the download just curious. Someday when the price goes way down I might pick up the cheapest PS3 just for Mk2.

online it all depends on who has a decent connection.

Bone is in Cali and im in NY we played the other night and you wouldnt even know that we were online. now there are other folks that play and the connection is crappy that cause they have a shit connection. all the top players have a good connection so thats good.

i think its 5 bucks to own. i have 2 videos on youtube. one of me fighting this dude the 2nd Day i got the PS3 and the 2nd is me showing Amviorix that oiver 1 hour and 40 mins i never waited more then 1 min to play some one. then PS3 online games are like xbox online where you can now send messages to players while their playing another and tell them to come play you.

Tekken most of us dont really like it, i dont, but i still play it vs MKO folks its kinda fun. anyway you can have up to 7 people in a room playing. its like the old arcade days where you have to wait your turn to play the winner and you can watch them fight while waiting its pretty kool. i pray all fighting games steal this idea in the furture.

OMFG - buying the PS3 was the best thing i could have done . Call of Duty 4 is crazy .


@ Jin - you fool ! mk2 is fun as hell , i havent had that much fun in a long time , ive never played that game b4 and it was awsome to try . no lag so far . i feel the high level play in this . give me 2 weeks .

I don't even play MKA daily lol. I play UMK3 xbox live arcade, Gears Of War, Halo 3, Bioshock, Assassin's Creed, Dead Or Alive 4, Virtua Fighter 5, etc. PS3 was a huge dissapointment. PS3 is crap. I would buy a ps3 just to break it lol. Xbox 360 is Just too good. Only thing PS3 good for is MK2, and for media lol. Xbox 360 has 80% better games then PS3. PS3 has maybe 2 good games lol.

For anyone to claim that the PS3 only has 2 good games is ignorant as fuck.

lol, jokes on you. Tekken 5 DR, War Hawk, and alot more PS3 exclusives are awesome games. Then you have games like Assassins Creed, Call Of Duty 4, Virtua Fighter 5, ect that are also on the XBOX.

Theres only one difference....


The multi console games look a shit load better on the PS3 and a good HDTV. Sony aimed for quality when they built up the PS3, and thats just what you get.


And as far as the Halo overrating goes.... Halo 3 isnt even that good. Wait till Killzone 2 hits store shelves. Games gonna smoke that trash away.




Then... the PS3 controller is MUCH better for games. Fighting games especially.

OK guys, I hear you all. I've never dissed PS3 though, just want to make that clear. However, I've touched on the subject of the number of games available on the console but I have to acknowledge that that is definitely going to change at some point. Nonetheless, when you throw XBL arcade into the debate, it kind of changes the scale altogether.

So, can you PS3 freaks help me out with these questions...
1) Can I stream a movie (AVI, MPEG 4, WMA) directly from my PC to a PS3?
2) What exactly has the arcade got to offer when compared to XBL market place
3) And lastly, Krazy, did you have an XBOX 360 or who else here has both 360 and PS3? And how do they compare?

Luna is the only one I know that has Wii, PS3 and 360. He loves the 360, especially Elite. But he's a hacking freak so his advice is always from a nerdy freak perspective..lol

I will get PS3 when MK8 comes out. You go ahead, and play that PS3. PS3 sucks, and will always suck. I only play MKA a few times per week. I play UMK3 xbla, DOA4, VF5, Halo 3, Gears of War, Lost Planet, and Mass Effect. @bone- I never said I would Break the PS3 if I bought it lol.

@ MK2 lovers- I don't know what it is but MK2 is just my least favorite MK. But this is my main problem..
-I hate MK2
-I like fighting game and hate being bad at them
-Now I'm trying to learn to play a game I hate
-And trying to be good at something you hate is very hard
Actually now that I think about it I think I "hate" MK2 because I'm good in MKA. Now the problem there is that MKA is the past, and I keep thinking that I'm gonna be good at one MK because I'm good in another.

I've only heard this "theory" from kids on message boards. Everywhere else I've read from reviewers to game-developers says different.

According to this and other things I've read, Playstation 3's PERFORMANCE (not graphics) has more POTENTIAL than Xbox 360 but it hasn't been reached yet. And it likely won't be reached for a long time.

As for the graphics (which most people here point to), I'm wondering how some people can say PS3 is better when everything I've read says opposite. Even if PERFORMANCE and GRAPHICS were lumped together (which they're not), the fact still remains that nobody has used the POTENTIAL of the PS3 yet.

So how have some of you seen "superior" graphics on PS3?

Seems to me like people are just mimicing what Sony tells everybody... because they're Sony. Not because they've actually seen it, themselves.
