Seems like things in Athens have kind of slowed down a bit after the swimming concluded. Most everything now is still in preliminary contests.

What was theat emabrassing display by the American Sprinters in the Mens 100M Semi-Finals?? Completely uncalled for and very unsportsman like. I hope their coach gives them an earfull. For anyone that doesn't know America came in 1st and 2nd and at the very last few moments they looked at each other and were gesturing for who should take 1st place and then in a very highschool moment bounced against each others chest after crossing the finish line. That was pathetic, it really was uncalled for. It really is embarassing that people representing our country would behave like that. On a side note, anyone see the US softball team won the gold. I read that they won all nine games by a combined score of 51-1.

And I thought the drama was over on gymnastics...

Paul Hamm already had to deal with those that said he didn't deserve the gold medal because of the bad judging. Now, did anybody see the men's individual events? What are those judges smoking? Are they TRYING to get everyone to hate America?

For those that may have missed it, two people went before Hamm, one of them had an amazing routine and the judges scored it 9.6 something. The fans went nuts and would not stop booing. The head of the olympic commitee for gymnastics came down to speak to the judges. After about 20 minutes they up'd the Russians score to a 9.7 something. Better yeah, but his score should of been in the high 9.8's.

So the crowd finally got quiet, Hamm went, he had a good routine but it was no where near as good as the others. And they gave him a 9.81 something. Fans again began to boo and rightfully so...

The contest was not fair at all. Those judges were throwing out bad scores all night. I think 3 or 4 guys in a row had the same 9.762 on parallel bars. Odds of that? Not likely. That whole contest is mauled. I feel bad for every athelete involved because none of them got fair scores.

I honestly don't think Hamm was involved in any bribery or anything, but something fishy was definitely going on.

Kyle Shewfelt should have deserved the Bronze medal. The Romanian Gymnast clearly fell off the mat. Don’t know how the judges made that decision and proceeded in placing the Romanian in third place

That sprinting shit wasn't anything compared to the bullshit that went down with the gymnastics. Wow, two black dudes who train together are showboating. Imagine that, lol. But yeah, it was pretty lame.

I was hooked to my TV last night. It was nail biting. Alexi was excellent and I really think he was jipped on a medal. I think he could have gotten the Silver and Hamm the Bronze. Alexi Is an EXCELLENT athlete and not bad to look at either. He was very gracious I thought.

Canada wins Gold in womens Sprint cyclying. Italy lost to Argentina 3-0 in mens Semi-final of soccer. Iraq loses to Paraguay 2-0. So the final will be Argentina VS Paraguay. Mens baseball currently sits at 3-3 VS Cuba 8th ining. Perdita Filician(canada) warmming up for the women's hurdels...hope she wins gold. Alexandre Despatie of Canada is doing well in the Mens diving...advances to finals.

I guess I spoke a little too soon. Already won two silver medals (Obikwelu and Paulinho) and one bronze (Rui Silva), it's better than we did in Sydney although it's not a brilliant result... And congratulations to Brazil for the Gold medal they won. I, of course, am always pushing for them when Portugal isn't on the competition (or isn't able to get good results).

I really Hate what they are doing to Paul Hamm, Honestly, Why are you putting him in a Position where the world will hate him!!! Paul Hamm is good but the other Guys did MUCH better than him....

And Chile has 3 Medals!!!! OMGZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!! Holy Buddah! Chile Sucks at Gymnastics and All, but the only thing we are good at is Tennis and Soccer, but I didnt think They would get gold in Either, but We Got 2 Golds in Doubles and Singles in Tennis! and a Bronze in Tennis Also!!!!!

The way the crowd booed him, that was a disgrace. And the judges go ahead and fuck up again and change their score which gets even louder boo's.

Tho, in hindsight, Hamm should keep his mouth shut and do his talking at the end. He shouldn't have come out and added fuel to the fire.
