Really cant understand why Goku is winning by such a large margin.

I guess there is nothing all that visual when Superman brings his A game. Where as Goku has to charge up and yell for half a season. But then his hair goes blond and longer and eyes go green.

Goku is more the journey to being a more powerful warrior.

Whereas Superman is just Superman.

Plus I guess there is still some "FUCKING SUPERMAN RAPING MY MORTAL KOMBAT" butthurt.

Superman. Read Tony's posts and become familiar with Superman Prime. I wont take away that Goku is immensely ridiculously unforgettably stupidly powerful...but at one point DC made Superman second to only their version of God. Quoted from Superman wiki.

Let's take a closer look at this.

If you aren't familiar with what the multiverse is, this means Goku could (by some miracle)destroy ALL OF CREATION and Superman in his final form would still be chilling, no fucks given.

I hate Superman with a passion, because he is epitome of unoriginality, but I won't deny that he seriously wouldn't blink at Goku SS4 if he were in his prime form. It's like Dr. Manhattan on steroids, with a little Jesus Juice on the side.

Exactly. This changes everything completely. It would help to know which superman we are talking about.

The only Superman that Goku would have a chance at beating is immediately Post-Crisis (the one who ultimately got killed by Doomsday) or the animated version (arguably even weaker than Post-Crisis). Golden Age Superman, too, but I doubt anybody here is talking about a Superman who technically can't even fly.

We can probably fairly ignore Pre-Crisis and Superman Prime since both are straight up game breaking.

That leaves us with roughly the modern Superman, who, seriously, isn't going to lose to Goku. All those images I linked are modern feats. Goku hasn't done even half of that (and has demonstrated specific instances of being far weaker). Hell, he's not even the most powerful DB character. Mystic Gohan is. Hell, toss in Vegetto and Superman still stomps.

This is like that Marvel/DC crossover where people wrote in who they thought should win and the end result was the lunacy of Wolverine beating Lobo. The writers themselves didn't know how to handle that so they just made Wolverine win off panel.

Goku vs. Superman fights are never about comparing actual power. They're always about people having seen DBZ and Justice League on Cartoon Network and assuming that the Superman in the cartoons is the extent of his ability. Because anybody who does know what Superman can really do wouldn't even be able to entertain the idea that Goku could win. It's such an inane conclusion based on literally no evidence whatsoever. In the entirety of the Dragon Ball universe we've seen nothing that Superman hasn't exceeded.

Realistically, Superman.

Seriously, people just say who they like more. It's like the Krilin vs Thor thread, it all comes down to popularity.

goku dosent need to go super saiyan to beat superman. superman bends metal, goku combust metal. nothing superman can do could harm goku at all not one bit. gokus faster then superman stronger then superman. superman lifts plains, goku lifts giant chunks of planets. superman fell to the earth got knocked out for days goku gets slamed into the earth all the time. superman has a weakness goku dosent unless its food. superman cant hold his own in a video game goku has had many great game. and to conclude SUPER MAN 64 LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It doesn't matter if he came first, that takes zero thought to create. EVERYONE has wanted that at one point in their life, even if it is normally during childhood.

Well considering without Superman there arguably wouldn't be a Goku, I'd say the creation was rather significant, "zero thought" or otherwise.

I'm not doubting his significance, nor am I saying I'm a Goku fan. I stated my opinion, which, if you look at the very core of what Superman is, isn't far from fact. I won't take away from his story or history. That is ultimately what makes him enjoyable. I just don't like him.

I'm on your side in this debate, though, 100%. Goku is powerful, I will give him that. However, anyone who says Superman doesn't stand a chance is...ignorant to what's been happening in the DC universe.

1960s-70s? Superman beats Goku to near death, then forces him into a shotgun marriage with a trained gorilla. Then he sleeps with Chi Chi for good measure. Supes was RIDICULOUS in the 70s; used to do stuff like flying so fast that God himself decided to stop him before he started breaking the life/death barrier.

1980s? Goku tears Supes apart, then they share a touching moment in the emergency room until Goku pigs out on the hospital food. Supes was pretty powered down during the Bronze Age.

1990s-2000s? That'd probably be an even match up until SSJ3. Superman was all over the place this time. One minute, Joker could own him, the next, he was closing black holes with his bare hands. The next, he admits to being a huge Metallica fan (i know that's irrelevant, but still, it WAS pretty random to see).

New 52? Superman's good, but not good enough just yet. Goku owns him again.

Granted that it matters on what version of the character I'm discussing about, it doesn't really matter since there's a variety of different versions of these two.

Despite all that we've seen from both of them, just from your knowledge of what both can do, take into consideration and figure it out from there who could be who.
