Hey, I'm learning how to code in MUGEN and i used the Kung Lao from MKP like a test dummy.
I gave him a ton of moves and combos, he juggles like in Dead Or Alive / MKD and has a parry.
He can pull some pretty nasty looking, flashy combos. The most I've found with him is a 10 hit juggle against the wall.

Just replace the original "kung-lao" folder with this one.
I put a moves list in there and some sample combos.
PS: I'm not doing any work for anybody, so please don't bother asking.

Somethings wrong I think. Doesn't run the quicktime file, or the PS files, and the other thing prompts DOS(don't know DOS well at all man). I got the move list and all the files though. It's just, I can't do anything with what you gave me.
Maybe I'm just tired...
erm..here's a screen of what I'm looking at, besides the move list. Oh, and I automatically run things through WINAP. Just fyi there...

All those files need to go inside a folder called
kung-lao
Put that fulder in the char folder in the main MK mugen directory.
You can find the MKP game here.
If you open the file with Winrar, everything should already be in it's folder.
Just put the folder in the main MKP Mugen directory. In the "char" folder. There should be a "kung-lao" folder already in there from the original character.
check Youtube if you need more help, look up installing characters in MUGEN.

Fantastic man, great directions to start, and then once I got in, and had him implemented, I could absolutely appreciate what you did with him....
Feels a little more "natural"(?) with him playing that way....idk exactly.
I think you're gonna have to wait a little bit for a better critique. I liked what I was able to play with, but I couldn't exploit all the things you allowed me to do in the game quite yet. Gimme a couple days or something, and I'll be able to give up some efficiency.
Great job though. It really is a good job on the characters "feel".
later man, got graphic arts class tomorrow, so I may not be "right back" or whatever....

cool, the main thing I was having a hard time implementing was the parry. It still doesn't work the way I want, but I'm not sure how to code it to work right. I gave it that loud hit sound just to know if it happened.
The guys working on MKP made a lot of custom codes and state machines for their game, so some of the codes that should work normally aren't. Like I can't get a pause to work when the parry makes contact.
I can't get the stumble to happen after blocking a heavy blow like the dive kick or the powerful Back Kick I added.
I think the limit for juggle hits in the Code is 14. I put most of the attacks to count as 1 juggle point so 14 may be possible, though I haven't been able to find a combo that long.

Owww make me Fujin now!!!!!!!!!!!
Ha, ha, Ha just kidding Bleed
Cool though man, best of luck dude. At first I wasn't all too fond of the "Mugen" trend but have to admit the past few years it's caught my interest, especially with the MK vs. SF and now MK vs DC etc.
Dude, once you have one up let me know man. I love watching new MK mugens
Best of luck.
