Got this assignment for my writing class and need the sales numbers for as many of the Mortal Kombat games as possible. Mk4-current has the most emphasis on them for what I'd like to have.
Didn't bother searching cuz I'm about to step out.
Thanks.

Remove those dollar signs. The numbers you listed are for units sold, not money totals.

Mortal Kombat Trilogy is the highest grossing MK game of all time? Sweet

Didn't MKvs DC pass every other MK in totals? Or has that yet to be decided?

I highly doubt it, only 1.8 million copies were shipped and not SOLD. And MK was much more popular in the 90s than it is now.

Thanks alot.
I'm sure there's more, or different sources for this sort of thing, so I'll leave this open even though my concern was addressed.

No , it didnt .
While it did good ,having defeated MKA in sales still there are alot other MK games sold better than MKvsDCU .
You know what it is good that it sold well but not the best MK that will help Midway to get out of the trouple and force them to Kontinue regualr MK anstead of crossovers .
Does this take into consideration TOTAL totals?
I figure MK2 would take the crown, considering it's been on more overall platforms than any other MK, from SNES/Genesis, to Saturn, 32X, import PS1, MK Arcade Treasures 2 for XB/PS2, PS3 on the PSN network service, Gameboy, the bonus game in MKSM on Xbox and PS2, PC, and any other I may have missed..

There isn't a record of this sort of thing anywhere?
When I say the sales numbers, I want the "TOTALs", y'know? . Worldwide, for all systems during a good, but specific span of time.
We all know how shitty it is to reference a source, and have that source not be the end all be all source.
Is there no record like this for MK games online anywhere? Or is what was previously posted as close as I am going to get?

Yeah, I should have re-worded my initial post and meant in terms of MK: DA and the previous few MK's which I'm pretty sure MKDC passed them(or will) they're reaching the 2 mill mark now I believe MKDC that is or it's damn close to it. In terms of those totals(not overall MK game)
Overall, I'd imagine as Shingo said MK2 is kind I believe but MKDC has to be up there somewhere.
The crossover idea I feel was a banker honestly, MK DA, MKD and MKA were MK alone yet didn't do as well as MKDC.....at least MK is still popular though to demand more going on MK9 now which is cool.
I think honestly as long as they keep the engine, pretty solid just improve a bit more upon it along with making the next MK MK again that will also help. By that time though who knows where Midway will be but at least they got the pass from courts to continue making MK 9.
