its my break downs of hte AFC South n west I was doing the west then my internet messed up and i lost all my info i had on the west i saved wat i did on the south when i was almost done so i m going to simply my west breakdown so i don't have to type what i spend 1 1/2 hours working on a detail breakdown srry people

The AFC south we know it as the colts division. The past few years they have won this division and really with no competitive rival. Last year saw the rise of the jaguars (though they had a really easy schedule) This year the other 2 teams in the division look to rise aswell. Though the colts are still the clear favorites. We can expect the young tennessee (there the youngest team in the nfl) and the texans (though they will curse not chosing bush) to improve there bad seasons.

Breakdown from worst to first from last year rankings:

Texans: They pulled the surprise of the life time taking Mario Williams over Reggie Bush they made moves to improve a defence which was pathetic and i mean patetic at the bottom of every defensive catagory last year. Give it up to them defence is a big issue for this team and they made move after move trying to improve it. The other thing is there pathetic oline they tried to improved it in the draft will it help idk. I think david carr is understimated i think hes a great qb he shown promise he just needs and line and the new coach is going to build one for him. I expect a good season out of carr. They still got a nice running back in domick davis who should also be helped by this build up. There recieving core is solid with mathis, molds and johnson. Both sides of hte ball will be improved but still not be nearly as good as alot of other teams. My prediction is a 5-11 season for this team i think they will be improved and they have a plan for the future lets see if it works out. 3rd in the division

Tennessee: Again you can say this team had a great draft. Getting Vince Young and LeDale White. They lost Mc Nair so i wouldn't be surprised if young is starting by mid season. They made a few quality signings in the offseason getting a WR a LB a saftey and Kevin Mcwae from the jets. The Qb is a sketchy position for them and so is the RB position. Who will start for them will it be chris brown or White or another RB and can they carry the load. The only offensive position thats any good is the receving core. Though they did have the 4th sacker in the NFL last year there defence was sketchy at best. i dont' expect much change in this team. I think of this as a rebuilding year for them as they will use both white and young i expect this will be the 2nd worst team in the NFL. I think they will finish 3-13 to the disappoint of tennessee fans. Last in the division

Jaguars: The defence is already solid they were top 10 in every defensive cagaory expect rush defence. They made a few moves to improve there defence. So i just epxect them to be a solid group again this year. They added sub par receiver to a core that is on the rise. I expect leftwhich to have another good season but i think the lost of Jimmy smith will hurt this team alittle. There rb issue is still up in the air they can start vetern fred taylor or go with greg jones or even the rookie from ucla moriece drew. The tight end from UCLA lewis will make an impact like heath miller did last year. Plus the offseason oline moves they made should make them a better team though record won't show it. Prediction they have a harder schedule then last year so 2 of those easy wins will become loses i think they will finish 10-6 and outside the playoffs. Just to many better teams in the AFC that are better. Unfortunly they will be the odd man out this year. 2nd in this division.

Colts: For a team that was 2nd in PPG defence and PPG offence they didn't win the super bowl. worst (for the other teams) is that they kept most of that team in tact. Though they lost 2 key peices and replaced one (lost james and vanderjack and got vinnertari). I Still see this team being top 10 in all offensive and defensive catagories. I still see this team as one of the 2 best team in the AFC. They got a proven back not as good as james but good enough to open up the pass in Domanic Rhodes and they got the rookie addi they can groom. They still have one of the best qb's and recieving cores and de in freeny. I see this team winning this division again with 13-3 record. Though again falling short of the super bowl even though they will have the #1 seed in the AFC.

Texans:

Why they will improve?
Because they are acually serious about defence and they will still have a good enough offence (though the oline will stink just not as bad) I think carr will have a career year and expect some good play from their team. I think there defence will be better not as good as other teams some where around 20 when last year they were 30.

Why they will still be a bad team?

Because they are the texans. Bush will have a good year and make them look stupid. Though they will improve just not alot. LOL and a harder schedule.

Tennesse:

Why they might have a chance to win more then 3 games:

They put in Young early hes great and they get a running game going. The defence somehow plays top 10 defence and they get through a hard schedule.

Why they won't:

Young is still a rookie he will have to change his style of play which takes time. They don't have a running back they can depend on though brown is decent. There defence is going to be in the low 20's and not help this offence one bit.

Jaguars:

Why they do have a chance to win this division or make the playoffs:

They have a great defence that can stop both the rush and the pass. The offence has potentional to be a mid teens kind of offence. If they can beat the colts once they have a chance.

Why they won't win the division or make the playoffs:

Unfortunly they are in in a conf where 9 teams can make the playoffs. So that means with 6 spots there will be odd teams out. Though they do have the talent to be in these playoffs they will be the odd man out. they can't be the colts though they can give them a hell of a game. Its not cause there talent they won't make it they jsut aren't better then the chargers,denver,cheifs,colts cinninati, pittsburgh though they are better then new england and miami but they dont' play in the AFC east unfortunly.

Colts:

Why they will win the division and get the #1 seed:

They still have that core group with players all over on offence and defence. I think their collaspe last year was more mental then their abillity with the death of dungy's son. (god bless his soul) I think they are still the top echlon of teams of the AFC they will be more focused and as we all know by now the colts are a great regular season team.

Why they wil fail to get to the super bowl again:

Well they are the colts they always fall short somehow. I still wonder if they figured out hte blitz schemes teams like pittsburgh and new england put on them. It just seems they always fall short and until they do get ot the super bowl i can't think otherwise maybe vinnertari will change their luck.

The south isn't a hard division but they have 2 talented teams and there wil lbe competetive games in the season.

West srry for a no detail breakdown i spend 2 hours doing a detailed one then something happend and when i pressed forward i lost all my info on the west so i m quickly doing this

Oakland: Offence will play better they really haven't done much to improve either side of the ball art shell will make this team play better. Offence will improve defence will still suck my predicition is a 5-11 season.

San Diago: they 2 even though they finished in the 12 in all offensive catagories was top 10 in defence expect there terrible PassPG defence. They made really no changes lost a few players nothing drastic besides their qb. I think Riveres will be good enough for this team to make the playoffs. Barley wiht a 11-5 record 2nd in this division and beating out teams like KC,Miami and Jaxsonville. They get the last playoff spot.

KC: They haven't done nothing in to improve there oline men though one of the best in NFL history is getting very old. Crappy recieving core though there qb is underratted. Good TE gonzlaz is still. ONe of the best RB in the NFL but can he play a whole season? They have't done enough on defence to get this team where they want. They fall short at 10-6 3rd in this division and barely out of the playoffs.

Denver

Though they lost a few players they got some back. They got javon walker from GB to solidify a nice recieving core and they can just plug any back in there and they will be sucessful. They kept most of hte d in tact though they lost one key player to the ravens there still a solid group. Denver still has a sub par pass defence but is solid in every other area on both offence and dfence. They will win this division again with a 12-4 record and get a 2 seed in the AFC because they'll beat the bengals in the regular season to break the tie breaker. I will also say they will get to the super bowl this year.
