I almost threw up when Kimbo popped that guy's ear. Though I think what he said after justified the early end. "good thing the ref stopped the fight, cuz I was gonna hit his ear again" And HOLY HELL, miss Gina "Crush" "Conviction" Carano. Only three weeks training and all the shit they gave her about Gladiators and she still beat the piss outta her opponent. The things I'd like to do her....

Rampage should have won, I think Forrest won the 2nd though, but he did not beat the champ.

Lesnar and Cain are the future of the Heavyweight division!
And who can stop Anderson Silva? Cung Le. I believe Cung has better stand up than anyone right now in MMA. If you think he doesn't have any ground game, you're wrong. He was an All-american wrestler and has some knowledge in BJJ.
The thing is this fight is far from happening, Le still has 4 fights left in his contract with Strikeforce (he's currently Strikeforce's Middleweight champion) while Silva is the UFC Middleweight champion.

Indeed. His lack of MMA experience and skills showed during his fight with Heath. Not once did he try to finish the fight. I mean look at all the opportunities he had when he had Heath on his back.
His strength is all he has at the moment. His wrestling seems decent.
I was really going for Heath though, I really like him. Brock is a tool imo.

Lesnar probably is the future of the HW division but come on, the UFC's HW division is kind of boring. The best they have now is Big Nog(who will be facing Frank Mir in December for the title). UFC could use Fedor to brighten things up in the division. I wouldn't mind seeing Cro Cop back in the UFC. But I doubt we will see Fedor in the UFC anytime soon.
Anderson Silva Vs Cung Lee would be a great match. But I think Silva is just too good for him imo. Silva's stand up game is just too fucking good. His accuracy is really great. His BJJ is really good too. Definitely better than Cung Lee's. Thats what makes Silva so good, he's mastered both stand up and ground game. Both really important factors in MMA.
Loved the Cung Lee Vs Frank Shamrock fight though lol. Mostly because it was fun to see Cung Lee beat him to death.
Incase anyone didn't know Silva will be fighting Patrick Cote for the title at UFC 90.
So what do you guys think of Affliction? I was really happy to see The phenom back in action. Sadly he won't be in the next even in October due to injury.

New MMA news guys.=)
Maurcio Shogun Rua will be returning to the UFC in December(UFC 92) to face Rampage. Im really happy that Shogun is coming back, this is going to be a sick fucking fight. These guys both fought in Pride against each other and Shogun destroyed Quinton. Last time we saw Shogun in the UFC, it was his first fight in the octagon against Forrest Griffen and he lost that fight. Last time we saw Rampage fight it was also a loss to Forest, so this should be interesting.
Also UFC legend Ken Shamrock is back again. Not in the UFC but in EliteXC to face the lame Kimbo Slice in October. Personally I have respect for Ken Shamrock but he's fucking too old now and Kimbo Slice is a loser imo. So Im definitely going for Ken. He's a true MMA fighter and a more accomplished fighter than Kimbo.
Oh and Tito Ortiz has signed with Affliction. He's rumored to face Babalu in October. Renato is the man.

I don't care that Shamrock essentially sucks nowdays. He's still my hero. I wish he'd come back to NJPW or something, but I'll always support him and watch his fights. I mean, he's essentially signing a contract to get horribly mangled because honestly I think Kimbo will crush him now that he's getting quality professional training and he's HUGE, and Shamrock has always been a smallish heavyweight. But Shamrock's balls are bigger than Tito's head, it's like he'd fight his heart out against anyone on the planet without hesitation or fear of death. He's a fucking Samurai. I hope he busts out a heel hook and ends Kimbo's career OG Pancrase style as a middle finger to everyone who hates him.
Shogun vs Rampage isn't as appealing without stomps and soccer kicks. I'm not sure I really care about it. I do want Shogun to win (or more accurately, Rampage to lose,) but it's just not going to be the same if Rampage is down and Shogun is standing over him and has to engage in some weak guard passing attempt instead of stomping all over his face or punting his head into the fifth row. It'd be like Chuck vs Wand all over again. And if Rampage does win, it's not going to prove much: then they're just 1-1 with Shogun's win still being worth more in my eyes because it was contested under better rules.
I'm crossing my fingers that Ortiz opens his mouth at the press conference or something and gets Matt Heath'd for lulz. It'd do great things for Sobral's career too if he wins, which I'd love, because I think he's a really under rated and entertaining fighter.

Yeah I really never liked Liddell but Evans bores me, so it doesn't really matter to me who wins. Kind of a weak fight to headline the event imo.
But if Liddell wins, apparently its going to give him a shot at Forrest at UFC 92. Could be wrong but heres the article

UFC 91:Couture vs. Lesnar
Wow, Randy is coming back to face a younger, bigger, faster, less experianced version of himself. Of course he is just doing it for the money. He better pray that he does win though, because if he doesnt, a fight with Fedor wouldnt mean shit.
This will be a big challenge for Lesnar tho. If he truly is the next big thing(which I think he is), he needs to put Randy down before the third bell rings. He needs to learn to fight off his back, cuz unlike his last three opponents Randy knows the wrestling game. Brock needs to realize Randy is a very smart fighter, and very well rounded. Lesnar will need some more sparring lessons and better learn how to block a punch and a hard knee. Its hard for me to say it but I think Brock will win.
As you know all fights are subject to change. Dana has been known to screw things up. But he knows this fight has too much $ potential. I personally think he wants to screw up Randy's possible fight with Fedor. Dana=greed.
Any

What has Lesnar done to deserve a shot at the belt already. He lost his first fight in the UFC. Came back for the second fight displaying the exact same disregaurd as the first time, only this time, he wasn't facing someone who can read and capitalize on his mistakes that well. If Lesnar try's to come at Couture with that stuff, I guarentee he'll tap out. Bottom line, he has to mature the equivalent of about 8 more fights in a couple months time, he better be a quick learner.
Randy vs Fedor already doesn't mean shit. Why would it? Fedor is the greatest of all time and Randy is an old man who got his face smashed in by Josh Barnett. The money fight is Fedor vs Barnett, not Fedor vs the guy Barnett beat.
Also I don't think it's quite fair to say Lesnar's last three opponents didn't know the wrestling game. Herring is a good wrestler and formerly one of the best heavyweight grapplers from the top in the MMA world. That's why he displayed almost zero guard in that fight. Lesnar is just a bigger and better wrestler than he was.
Couture is going to get crushed into dust because it'll just be the same again. What's he going to do? Try outbox Lesnar? Lesnar will double leg him through the wall. Try "dirty box" Lesnar? Lesnar is a better wrestler, far bigger, far more aggressive, and arguably the strongest man in MMA, there's no way Couture can just lie on him against the fence; Lesnar is not Gonzaga. What else can Couture do? Take Lesnar down? Nope. Allow himself to get taken down then work for a submission from the bottom? Not with his complete lack of a bottom game.
Randy Couture might as well be Elvis Sinosic in this fight. A good big guy will always beat a good small guy, and when it comes to freestyle wrestling, Lesnar is the biggest good guy in MMA.

When I say wrestling, I mean the likes of Randy, Tito, Brock, and Mark Coleman. Herring was a Shoot Fighter in Amarillo, Texas. Shoot Fighting does involve wrestling but not to the extent of what some of the guys I mentioned did in college.
I agree that a Barnett vs. Fedor fight is well deserved, but it wouldnt pull in half the money of a Couture vs. Fedor fight. IMO Fedor would kill Barnett(but strange things happen in MMA). I think Randy would be beaten by Fedor too. Either Mark Coleman style(Jesus Christ that was almost manslaughter), or maybe Couture is smart enough to do better.
To Detox: It isnt for the belt, Noguiera has the interim belt. And Im sure Randy will just give the belt up. He doesnt care about it.
You need to give Brock some credit though. He isnt a fluke. Its difficult to fight anyone with a black belt in BJJ. Just a very small mistake and your leg is broken. Brock is still very green. And maybe he doesnt deserve a fight with Randy.... yet, but he can win this fight.

There's an official MMA thread where you can post this.
Anyway, I can't wait to see that fight! I'm a Couture fan but I would love to see Lesnar win. Maybe Lesnar doesn't deserve a tittle shot so soon but he draws big money as well as Couture and obviously Dana White and the UFC want big PPV buys!
